Just because it's on a desktop doesn't mean it has to be more money.
Uh, not really. Because Mac applications are being developed for a bigger screen and, in most cases, have more content than their iOS counterparts, it only makes sense for developers to charge more for them, because more work is being put into the development of them. Yeah, some developers are charging a little too much more, but they definitely shouldn't all be the same price as their iOS counterparts.
did you really just say that? really?

i can understand if there's a lot more content in the game that they want to capitalize on their work. that's a totally valid point, depending on how much is added, and how much extra it costs.

but a bigger screen warranting a price hike? oh boy.
i bet it would suck if that were true. <3 my 1680x1050 res, but not going to pay a penny more just so i can take full advantage of it, when the same thing's being offered but at, say, 800x600, or 1280x1024

I agree. The prices in the store are BS right now for some of these apps.

i'm not talking about the price.. i'm talking about the reason for the price.

an increase just because it's a bigger screen makes no sense.
that would be like cable costing more if your tv was bigger in size. (aware of HD and what have you)
same could be applied with console games, dvd/blu-ray movies.. etc. screen size should have nothing to do with the price of software, with the only exceptions being media that can output full HD or not, and even that's becoming more commonplace.

I probably won't get any apps for my computer, but I'm sure this is good news for people that will.

Anyway, I have a macbook pro and I enjoy it. I used PCs until I was in about 2nd grade because my school is mac based and I remember just enjoying them more. My dad used to be a PC guy and he fixes PCs at his law firm for a living, and is now a mac guy my brother used to be a mac guy but is now a PC guy, my mom isn't good enough with computers to be able to ever get any major change and is currently a PC user, and I myself am I mac person.

Also, no one has brought up that you are more likely to get viruses on PCs than macs.
That's because more people use windows computers, so hackers/viruses target windows computers more often so they can get a bigger result.

I don't think it has to do with the screen size. Maybe a little considering they're stepping up from a small iTouch to a Mac, but other than that, it's not a big deal.

I read through most of this topic and you have no idea how much I lol'd. Thank you.

Still, I just see it as your own preferences. I'm a windows user and from my experiences with macs, I don't like them. Oh well, who cares?

More like $1500+ unless you want it to be complete garbage.
