I believe this would be an on-topic post... Yeah.

Okay, so I am looking for variations of cycling methods. I am looking to move a single, particular villager out of Opelucid. But doing the whole ( talk to three villagers to find a mover each day) method is taking FOREVER.

Can someone please help me? Thank you in advance! :)

Talk to three? The method I find that works the best is to pick one villager and talk to them until they get sick of talking to you. Do it daily. I've yet to have someone unexpectedly move out while doing this. If I can't find the one villager I usually talk to I will talk to someone else but I just do it about 16 times until they tell me to go away.

Check this thread out for more info.

Well, I am afraid of doing one because I talked to a villager until they had to think, and the very next villager told me someone was moving. @_@

Thank you for the link! :)

The fastest way I found is to do this
1. Wait for a villager in boxes.

2. Go forward one year.
Save & Quit

3. Go forward one year
Save & Quit

4. Go forward five days.
There will be a villager in boxes.

It took me only about 10 minutes to cycle 16 villagers and about 5 hours to get Marshal out.

EDIT] Oh, wait. This doesn't work for just getting one particular villager out, sorry :c

Actually, I was thinking about getting a cycling town, so that speed cycling method will come handy.
Thanks!

Is the person you're trying to get to move your tenth villager by chance? (last one to move in) They are near impossible to move.

I used to talk to people everyday and see if they mention someone moving. I don't like that method either. I have been cycling through a few spots in my main town for a while now. On a day someone tells me they are moving and I stop them..I then TT back four days, save, then TT forward 4 days. I then wander around in front of everyone to see if someone pings me. You have to be on speaking terms with everyone. Someone will ping over half the time. I still often enough have to check for a mover by changing the clock on my ds forward a year, creating a new character(don't save) and then seeing who, if any, is missing from the map. You must remember to change your ds clock back after checking! I feel like there must be a better method out there.

Usually after TTing forward 4 days and having someone ping you their moving date is 5 days out. Ever so often it will be the next day though so you basically have to check for a mover in the future or risk losing a dreamy.

Well, she is the second oldest villager in Opelucid..
That method sounds a bit risky, but I'll try it as a semi-last resort.

Lol. The point is there is ZERO risk. Like I said, I check for a mover(in the future) if no one pings before I switch the day forward to check again.

I'm obviously bad at explaining... sry.

OHH. Wait. I misread!
You go backwards FIRST, then forward.

That way you end up on a day that the game decided to make someone move.
I feel dumb now.
