Longest wait for villager to move in

So apparently rumor has it that Amoria is a ****ty place to live, cuz' it's been more than 10 days since my 9th villager moved away (so I currently have 8 villagers), and no one has moved in yet (Never experienced this before). Got me wondering, what's the longest time you ever waited for someone to move in?

Ah, alright! That's really weird, I haven't heard of anything like that happening before. :\
I've gone a month without anyone in my campsite though, so there's that.

Yeah, I do that on each new day to see if someone is moving in. Then afterwards I log in with my mayor to save and quit. Maybe my game is bugged?

Perhaps if you tried the resetting trick a couple of times, then you could determine wether it's just a weird coincidence that no one has moved in - or if no one will ever move in.
And if no one moves in at all, you could try adopting someone?

dkjhfakjhfs just talked to Lopez a bunch of times, just to make sure no one was leaving instead of moving in, and guess what? He told me, that Erik is thinking about leaving town...

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. I think I'll adopt the first one that decides to camp in Amoria~ Thanks for your help. Hopefully all will be back to normal when that happens.

The only thing that might be a problem is getting a 10th villager. If your game thinks you have 9 right now and you adopt a new one, it will be 10 villagers, even though you only have 9.. So perhaps you should try to adopt two more villagers?

I feared this too, but it seems things went back to normal after telling Erik to stay. I just TT'ed a couple of days, and saw that Peanut moved in! Hopefully it was just a small bug

Villagers can move out of your town even when you have 8, that part isn't bugged. I can't speak for the part where no one would move in, though, as I've never been able to verify the theory that a 9th villager will always move in within a week. I'm not sure if I believe it.
