well, Lego, as we all know, is milking its products for all its worth... they made bionicle a few years back (when i was like 8) i got the full set, and loved it... then, 3 monthes later, after i finally bought them all, they release a new one everyone wants, because its got armor...

this is turning into a cash milking fest... every issue of their magazine has some new crap for you to buy... and, well, im just sick of it... i thought lego was one of those good companies... guess i was wrong, they're greedy enough to milk kids of all their pennies.

anyone remember the old lego (prolly not) the ones that weren't built halfway for you?

i remember they had some awsome sets out, back in the late 80's early 90's. good sets, worth the money, you could get a 1,500 peice set for like 20$, now you get that for about 70$

but yeah, the good sets were the Pirates... they had cool parrots, and hideouts, and a big ol' ship... no storyline, so you could play for hours making your own up...

the space station sets (the REAALY old ones) these were way awsome, it was space ships, astronaughts, and things, without the aliens and crap... i've still got a few, handed down by my older brother

:)

so yeah, in short, lets forget about all this new crap they're making... and, if you see one of the old sets, buy it... its totally worth it.

The Star Wars sets rock all the way. Still, I agree, the new Bionicles are WAY too weird. The original were awesome, and I even had a second Pohatu to make a Dog thingy with a thing that can be either a jetpack or shoulder guns.

Still, Legos rock. I'm still REALLY REALLY MAD that they stopped producing the Steven Speilburg Movie set... I WANTED THAT SO BAD.

My mother bought me sets way back when I was around 5 or 6, and those were great.

:p I had a pirate ship, a wild west thingy, a giant normal ship, and now my brother has lots of Harry Potter legos and Star Wars legos. I do agree, though, that they are starting to get greedy with this Bionicle thing...

yeah, starwars sets were cool... they made alot of them, and i couldn't afford it all

:p i've got like... the little walker thingy... and a couple of those other guys... thats about it

:p

i never got into the speilberg sets... i had a camera man, that was about it

:p

@Sporge- i know, back in the day, it was cheaper than cheap, now they just raise the price for fun

:p

@OHE- uhh... thats nice o_O

@Bulerias- those Western ones were pretty cool, my friend had a set... i liked all the log things

:p

hairy potter ones arent as cool as they could have been... they have cool stuff and all, but its like... small, and if you buy it all you're spending like 400$, then the next movie rolls around, and they have an entirely new castle... which means you spend another 400$

:p

the only thing i want from the 4th one is prolly going to be in an 80$ box... its the graveyard thing, that statue looks cool

:p

My brother's getting that grave-yard set for his birthday, which is in October.

:p

i used to have the WHOLE egypt set, built. but one day i decided that "metiores" were going to hit the desert :)P) so i took my fists and.... KABOOM!!!!!!

:p and i never got them built back, its been like 5 or 6 years. i still have all the pieces, but they're all seperated and mixed together. i haven't gotten any legos after that

:p but it was so fun playing with them, with all the traps and mummys, it was SOO fun

:) i used to make a war, living vs nonliving

:D

I have to come clean this is what I loved before video games, I literally have a dresser full of legos in my bedroom, I still on occasions build something but not from instructions, I make my own things, that is still fun, but I have not bought any since I started highschool....

This was my passion before hand I built a town, a story for the town, now the town is put away on my highest shelves and only play with them on occasions, I had the train even and that was awesome!

A few days ago, I made Spaceball 1 from black legos, complete with Dark Helmet (Darth Vader), the Radar, the Raspberry Jam, Attenae, and an Escape Pod thingy... But then my friend's baby bro took it and smashed it.

yeah... they canceled "Throwbots" aswell... i guess it was for the best, those things only would have gone the way Bionicles did... but they were awsome, while they lasted... i had almost all of them, then they dropped it.
