I hate any segments that require stealth in video games (except the Forsaken Fortress in Wind Waker, that sequence is iconic), so if an entire game is based on that it’s automatically a no-go. I’m also not fond of sports so the sports genre is also a no-go for me
Sports, MOBA, and stealth games. FPS can be down there if it's not also an RPG like Fallout or Borderlands. I need story to make up for all the shooting parts
I don't really like MOBA's at all, especially league of legends. It's annoying because it seems that so many people play it, including almost all of my friends, but I just can't get down with it. It feels like there's way too much pressure on everyone every time I tried to play a nice casual game, and even when I played with my friend in bot games, a lot of people that played it just seemed to want to be toxic 24/7. Also stealth games like metal gear solid, but that may or may not be because I am just horrible at them and have no patience :').
I'm really not a fan of fighting games, like Smash Bros, Final Fight, Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kobat, etc. I've never been good at them and I really don't get the appeal.
I only kinda like Smash cause I love the wide variety of playable fighters and all the bonus content, but I don't care for the actual gameplay.
I don't like realistic racing games. The movement just feels more annoying than anything else. Especially when the one thing they don't make realistic is how long it takes to accelerate, which seems to take forever in those games. Mario Kart just has much more enjoyable movement; it's not realistic and that's what makes it fun.
Realistic sports games are too boring for me due to the fact I think sports in general are boring. Wii Sports? Mario Sports? Oh, those are actually fun!
I also do not like shooters. I don't see the appeal of killing a bunch of people with guns. I don't even like guns. Oh, Splatoon is a shooter, right? Well, that's a family friendly version. It doesn't feel like the rest of them to me.
Edit: After reading a post here, I just realized fighting games bore me unless they are like Smash Bros. Well then...
I don't like fighting games like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter or Smash. I also dislike retro platformers or side scrollers. And realistic racing. If I'm playing a racing game, it has to be cute with some mayhem and weapons and traps involved like Mario Kart and Diddy Kong.
Probably a super unpopular opinion but horror. I just don't see the appeal of slow, clunky gameplay in dimly lit areas you can barely see. If I wanted a horror movie I'd actually watch a horror movie. That been said Gregory Horror Show on PS2 is a masterpiece but I'd hardly call that a conventional horror game.
Also have no interest in FPS or most mobile games. I never even enjoyed pocket camp or pokemon go that much.
