It used to be jock which is why I didn't even have one of those up until very recently, but now I actually think they are okay. I can't relate to them too much, but I like to picture them as very conscious about their looks and a little vain yet friendly.

The one personality I really started to dislike is lazy. I feel like all of the other personalities are archetypes, you can still give them different voices in your head - after all, many guys are into sports, many women are into fashion, they can still be their own person. But with the lazies, their hobbies are super specific and leave barely any room for interpretation. They are all the same weird, quirky guy who is an absolute slob and I don't enjoy his company anymore.

I agree Lazy is just too repetitive. All they ever talk is food and their bug friends. Ever single time I talk to them it always has to be about food or bugs.

Unpopular opinion but both Uchi villagers I've had have been ABSOLUTE *******. And the bane of my existence. (Diva in New Leaf and Reneigh in New Horizons. BTW, the second Reneigh asks to leave, she is going. HMU if you want her)

I don't care for jock personalities, I don't know why I've just never vibed with them in comparison to snooty or lazy personalities.

Aha! I feel you. I am a runner and do pilates. Back in 2013, I was training for 8 hours a day and right after I would come home and play AC! I'd pick up my 3DS and immediately talk to Snake. He just understood. Love him! Still do!

ACNH personas have definitely changed or maybe I grown up with them. I can totally relate to Snooty's. While playing ACNL, I thought they were full of themselves, but now I find that I am on the same page with them. Especially when they talk about baths, clothing, and their preferences of living situations. And generally, how they talk. Yep, def matured with the game!

Jock and lazy are both kind of intolerable to me. Jock wins by a small margin, however. I find that some of the personalities are far more fleshed out. Ironically, cranky and snooty villagers seem to go off the beaten path a bit more than most of the other personalities for me, which I really like. Smug as well. I never quite know what's going to come out of Raymond's mouth half of the time, which I appreciate. The contrast between being a complete creeper toward some of the villagers to a professional business(cat?) is always entertaining.
Lazies, as much as I'd like to enjoy them, I have a hard time. They are incredibly homogenized around bugs and food. Most personalities have a few key themes that can spice up the dialogue a bit, but lazies and jocks appear to be fleshed out the least imo.

Of course, at the end of the day there are many biases in my thoughts, and everyone has them. Everything from RNG when talking to a villager to personal attunement toward certain villagers can have an impact on your opinion for sure.

Lazy villagers are not what they used to be. They used to have such a fun personality that made them endearing and charming in their own way. NH dev team decided lazy meant they had to be grungy slobs. Some of the stuff they comment is just disgusting. Lazy does not equate being unhygienic and nasty.

Jock… im unsure if its because the complete opposite to myself😂 but I've never cared for jock characters.

VERY unpopular opinion, but if I have to base it on New Horizons alone, Normal. Despite the majority of them being irresistibly adorable, I feel as if they have the most dull dialogue out of all the personalities. I think it's because they're "too nice". I get that they're just lines of code at the end of the day, but I really couldn't care less to hear about how they love doing laundry all of the time or reading every single moment of the day. I just don't feel like I can connect with them at all. As for the other personalities, I find their dialogue to be entertaining and can get a few laughs out of me, but I can't say that for Normal. Even in Pocket Camp, they have more interesting dialogue to me. Perhaps they just need more depth, I feel like they need to show a bit of a wider range of emotions, though I guess that could be said for all of the personalities. I think all personalities in general could benefit from some new dialogue.

Smug. But not by much. I feel like most personalities are very bland, and I like the characters more because of their design than anything else.

Crankies and Uchis are the only personalities I feel like have some substance.

I think that all of the personalities have their own unique charm, however, I don't particularly like the NH iteration of the smug villagers. They're kind of insufferable imo ;u;
I Absolutely agree with you there; There's a Reason I Don't have any Smug Villagers on my island(Anymore)!

Because they tended to P*** me off!

I’ll withhold my vote for now because I’ve had neither a Snooty nor a Cranky in NH so far.
Seeing that they seem to place pretty low on people’s dislike ranking makes me look forward to meeting them even more now!

That said, I actually like the Jocks just fine and don’t have a problem with them like lots of people here do. I’m far from being sporty and have never even stepped into a gym, but somehow that makes them even more endearing and interesting to me.

Honestly? I feel like smugs get on my nerves the most lol. I don't want to say they're my least favorite but I talk to my smug villagers a lot less since I don't enjoy their dialogue very much.

My least favorite personality as of New Horizons is Lazy. They were already kind of rough in New Leaf because they came off as a bit too childish, but now in New Horizons with the strange decision to make them obsessed with bugs (which I mean, I don't mind it on principle but it's way too overdone) they just plummeted to the bottom of the list. A shame, as there are a number of Lazy villager designs I like. Hopefully they'll be more tolerable in the next game.

Lazy villagers used to be one of my favourite personalities in previous games but they really get on my nerves in NH, to the point where I let my favourite villager move out because it hurt seeing him reduced to what NH lazies are: a disgusting slob who lives in a bug-infested house and doesn't seem to be in possession of a single brain cell. They used to be fun and entertaining to talk to but now they're downright gross and impossible to have a normal conversation with.

Sisterly no question. They seem like they think they’re funnier than they actually are and their humour revolves around cheap shots.

The only one I like is Cherry because her aesthetic is brash like she’s covering up her insecurities so it kind of fits.

I think snooty is my least favorite personality.... Used to be Jock, but honestly some of the things they say are so ridiculous they make me laugh.
