Lack Of Variety With T.I.Y?

Does anyone else notice a lack of variety in the shop? I've been searching for the striped furniture set since I first got the game, and the only place I've even found a scrap of it is in an HHA display house. I check the store every day but I cannot for the life of me seem to get lucky. Is there something I have to do to get this series to be possible to show up? It also seems like he sells the same wallpaper and floor every other day.

I feel the same way. I felt like they had more variety before the shop was upgraded to TIY.

Really? I just feel like it's always been the same. I've never seen any striped furniture in there. Maybe I'm just getting unlucky I don't know. There has to be something going on with the wallpapers. He has cheese stuff and flower pop stuff every day.

Woah I get striped furniture way too much. But yeah, the variety is weird. They probably just became lazy.

The furniture is random. It isn't THAT consistent. You're just looking for something specific and there's a ton of items that it can randomize to sell. The wallpaper and carpet/flooring is pretty repetitive, though, as there is much less of these than furniture.

i have never had any spotlight items and some how I've got a near complete stripe set from just doing villager chores!

I just got TIY yesterday, so I don't know yet. I actually get my striped furniture from villagers and campers (mostly campers) just play endless games with campers, they have awesome furniture.

For me, I don't know if I'd say there's a lack of variety because there's always at least one new thing to buy for my catalog. The thing is, a lot of it is misc items instead of furniture from actual series. I mostly get pieces of furniture series by doing errands for my villagers.
