The price is 80 TBT but I'm open for other offers!
He is 100% original because it has always been my intention to sell him.

Hiya! I am looking for Kid Cat but I'm not open to buy him yet. But I can explain sell villagers! On this site, villagers are placed into popularity tiers: tier 1 being the most popular and tier 5 being the least popular. Here's a full guide!

A villagers price is based on the tier of a villager eg. Marshal the smug squirrel is a tier 1 villager; Starting bids for him are around 1 million bells and has a buyout of around 10-30 million bells. Bells have a conversion to TBT (Bell tree bells): 10 million bells=50TBT, 5 million bells=25TBT and so forth. Kid Cat has recently been moved to tier 2 which has a starting bid of around 500k bells and a buyout of around 2-10 million which converts to about 10-50 tbt.

I'm really not being rude or anything and I know your trying to get a hang of everything but 150TBT is quite overpriced for a tier 2 villager. They normally go around for 50-75 TBT. I know you'll get the hang of everything though!

Forgot to mention! Originality affects the value of a villager. If a tier 2 villager is 100% original then it goes around for 75-100TBT, tier 1 villager go for 100-150TBT!

And how does the process of the trade work? Who gives the money/villager first?

Normally what happened is that when you buy a villager with TBT, the buyer sends TBT to you first . Once you receive the right amount of TBT then you can allow the buyer into your town and direct them to the villager. With bells, the buyer normally lays the correct amount of bells by the trainstation or somewhere in town. Once paid again, they are directed to the villagers home. You can send TBT by clicking on the number of bells you have on the sidebar!
