Just seen my first tarantula.....

I've seen my first tarantula this month. It was hiding behind a tree and came out and bit my mayor. I literally jumped out of my skin.

Real ones are less "scary"! They don't wait for you, chase you down or attack.

I laughed the first time the in game one got me. It was so dramatic.

I remember first seeing a tarantula in WW, and I didn't jump. It was waiting for me outside Nookington's, so I just walked back in. I never jump when it comes to tarantulas, I usually end up either running away or trying to catch it! (I usually have that one phase in the summer where I do nothing but attempt to catch them)

the first time i saw a tarntula i immediately whipped my net out and tried to catch it.
i failed. i think what happened is my mayor fainted?? and next thing i knew my mayor came out of her house, so....

that was last summer. needless to say, this summer im prepared. and them tarantulas are going down.

I tried to look for tarantulas for 5 nights with no luck. The sixth night I went to talk to Kiki, but I saw a tarantula standing by her door! I went to my inventory knowing that if I take my net out I would faint. So I just stood there, paralyzed by the sight of this hideous creature. Then, it ran right through me, and into the river! Ugh! Why does this have to be so hard?

I am so glad I am not the only one scared of some animated, video game insect! But I saw my first one the other day..and jumped and got scared too. I don't even like playing past 7 because I know they're out and it gives me the creeps

The first time I saw one, it was just sitting by the train station. I didn't know what it was. I tried to catch it. I missed. It didn't.

I thought, "What the h*** was that!?!" I had to look it up on the internet. I think that was how I found TBT.

I always play in the evening and haven't seen another one luckily. They are around until August I think???

I have three boys and I'm forever rescuing bugs, worms and snails from pavements and paths but when they are animated and move so fast it's creepy.

I remember feeling squeamish when I first started catching beetles on the Island, they are so big and their little legs move funny.

I have arachnophobia so any spider has physically terrified me and leaves me extremely paranoid. I have caught both the spider and tarantula but when I saw the tarantula I screamed very loud and already had my net out and closed my eyes and just smashed my a button and somehow caught it. Never seen once sense and I hope I never do.

I saw a tarantula tonight and instead of freaking out and screaming, I *gasp* got out my net and tried to go after it, but it was already long gone by the time I was ready to get it. It was actually more scared of me than I was of it. I know this is a foreign concept to a lot of you here, but a tarantula biting you will in fact not kill your ACNL character. I know because I have tested this. So can we all make an effort to get over this video game arachnophobia? All it is just some fuzzy looking black pixels surrounded by green pixels. I thought of a name for this fear. "Pixelphopia". The fear of pixels arranged in such a way that they kinda sorta resemble a scary real life object even though the mind should be aware of the fact that it is just an image on a screen. I'm sorry for the harshness, but if you are going to get freaked out and scream when playing a game, at least do it while playing something from the survival / horror genre and not while playing ACNL.
