just reset-- my map opinions? (ॢ˘⌣˘ ॢ)

It's a great map. Your house is in a wonderful position in between the two ramps to the beach and there's a lot of space for PWPs and paths. Re-Tail could be a problem if you're into farming from the island but it's perfect for inviting people to sell turnips. Also, until you build a bridge, that walk to the town hall would be a real pain and there are villagers living in a good spot for a bridge.

Have fun in your new town! :D

Good!

The town hall is pretty far though...

it is, but I could always build a bridge near it somewhere! even then, I don't go there too often so it doesn't bother me much I suppose u_n

thank you! I do like the house placement, it's so peaceful at night too <3

and yeah, I'll definitely be finding a good place to build a bridge to the town hall soon!

and thanks, I will for sure! ^^

Ahh- you have so much space ! 0u0 //jealous..

My town looks similar, but the town is split across horizontally. It looks like there's a lot of space for my town, but there's seriously just no room for anything at all anymore despite all the paths and bushes I just drop around >-< . Though I personally find it better when towns have the re-tail center a lot closer to the beach so it's a quicker process to sell things from the beach like shells or anything from the island. Other than the re-tail center..I don't know why but it's oddly satisfying to see that the town hall occupies it's own half of the town. That one patch of beach seems irritating though. Other than that, you have I guess the "perfect" or ideal town layout c:

aw thank you so much! yeah the space is definitely nice here!

yeah I mean I don't really have a need to sell shells and stuff! when I do though (not often) it'll be fine to run a bit to get to it! and I know, I found it satisfying the town hall had a little area to itself too! <3 and yeah the little beach is okay to me though! I think little secret beaches are cute-- and as I said before, maybe I can plant a couple palm trees and find a cute treasure chest QR code or something to make it all adorable w_w

I like your map! at first I was thinking maybe the inaccessible beach would be a con but all you have to do is to swim to there xD my second town actually has a similar map, I like how the river is cut in the middle so you have a lot of open space and it's really cute (:

the only two cons I can think of are the pond next to the train station and the inability of putting a bridge at the bottom part of the river due to the 2 villagers. but if you dont really like them, you can always move them away, but if having 2 bridges is already easy enough for you to walk around the town, then in that case, it would be a pro :P

I looove where you put your house btw, perfect spot!

hello everyone! so I've reset for the last time now, I promise lul

I know it's my map and that I shouldn't let others opinions effect me, blah blah blah but I really just want to know if you guys like it as much as I do and why!

in my opinion, it's really unique and has lots of great space for PWPs, flower gardens, paths, orchards, etc.! and that's a big plus for me. I also love my mayors house placement right next to those cute beach ramps and cliff on the beach! a huge plus as well is that it came with the exact fruit I wanted (peaches) AND two of my dreamies <3

opinions please? pros & cons? compliments? n.n

this new town is named teacup, too by the way (opinions on that too?)
-- oh and sorry for poor quality, took it and cropped with ipad for now hehe

Hello again, my tea loving friend!

I actually really like this map *_* I like how the square is sort of centered in front of retail, and I like how the town hall is alone across the river. I love that you have a waterfall facing that direction (they're the prettiest imo), and I love that you have so much space! Even that little beach you can't get to would be super cute, like a little hidden tropical nook~! (I'm a dork and thinking like, a little mermaid beach or cove. How cute would a mermaid themed house be on the cliffs above it *_* ) The only thing I don't like is that strip of land on the top right corner, where the river runs too close to the tracks. That's something that breaks a map for me when I'm resetting. However, it's a relatively short strip, and I've seen people do really neat things with those, so I think all of the other features balance it out c:

Oh! And also, if you wanted a bridge to the town hall you could fit a really nice angled bridge at that slant to the north-west of it (I loooove angled bridges personally). And I think Teacup is an adorable name n_n

I reset my cycling town recently and named it Teiera, which is Teapot in Italian.

awww hello! you must visit again <3

thanks! I love the name teacup and I know I had tea cake and chai tea but I have a second cartridge I'll name one of those probably! not sure. I thought teacup was nice to go with since it can broaden the things associated with it, instead of just being specific with "chai" if that makes sense-- I am soooo exhausted so idek if that made sense ⊙ω⊙

oh my gosh that literally is the cutest idea about the mermaid house by the little cove thing! I'm sooooo doing that! I definitely wanna have like a little bakery shop and maybe a doctors office and the third character could have the little mermaid house!

and yes, definitely, the strip of land up there does bother me-- but maybe I can put resettis little house thing there or something and just cover it with cedar trees and make it a part of the forest I'm planning on filling the town with <3

and oh yeah!!!! the slanted bridge idea is genius! I will definitely do that! hehe

and teapot is adorable-- and the translation is adorable as well! great idea, love!

thanks for your input as well cutie! (▰˘◡˘▰)

You're very welcome n_n

I just thought- I've seen some towns that have the campsite nestled into that little strip up by the tracks, so you might have room for that if you decide to build one and make it a part of the forest (I'm not sure how much space you'd need, though). And I'm glad you're going to do the mermaid thing n_n If you ever get a DC set up in the future I'd love to visit it! I love towns that have little bakeries ;; I have a medieval inn/tavern in Everleaf, since it's very fantasy themed, but I was thinking about making one of my houses in Teiera either a cafe of sorts, a hatters shop, or like a big toy emporium.

pros; only two ponds, retail near the train station, a mostly vertical beach - good for fishing, south facing waterfall, secret beach, strip of land at the top for campsite or little orchard~

cons; town hall/your house placement: I've got to say I'm not a huge fan of where you put your house, if it were me I'd always put the house where the private beach is if you have one. but I suppose the town hall is in the way? But that's it!

I love the name teacup btw <3

I think its a lovely map. at the end of the day, as long as you are happy with it p, that's all that should matter ^^
I like it. I think it's unique. I haven't seen many towns like this. I like the south facing waterfall ^^ you've got a good ratio of beech. Plus two DREAMIES! :D keep it girl.

hehe thanks! yes, love all the pros! as for cons, I love the house placement! yeah putting it near the private beach would be cute but I have other ideas for that area (◜௰◝)

and thanks! love tea, thought it was perffffff hehe

thanks love!

I'm gonna have a nice little forest all over my town and it'll starts at the entrance so there will be cedar trees and flowers all over n stuff so it'll make the pond less annoying-looking and I'll have a path next to it, etc.! ~ヾ ^∇^

neat! I'm going for a forest town too :D

The only flaw that I have with this map is at the top right, where there is a very narrow strip of land. Personal opinion, though.

And are your two Dreamies in bad places? In case you have future plans of plot resetting and such, the bottom two houses are in kinda bad spots

I have a pond right below my train station as well. Honestly, I used to hate them, but they are actually some of the easiet ponds to work around and I don't even notice mine anymore.

yeah I know! the strip of land is a popular com for it but honestly I'll just make it work with a campsite or possibly my little tree orchard!! ^^

and yeah diana is on that right part next to the waterfall down south-- eh I'll probably end up lot resetting but I literally have no idea how to comprehend how and it makes me so saddd (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞

ugh I know I used to hate them too!

but yeah I decided to give his map a chance despite that, after hours of resetting-- and again, in person, it's so peaceful and serene looking in my mind because I'm picturing myself planting huge amounts of cedar trees and beautiful hybrids all over to make this town look like a big forest basically with cutesy PWPs, etc. <3 I think it'll look good ~

? don't think the big inaccessible beach is a con, I love the beaches you can only go to using the swimsuit, so I wish my map had one like that :D

I really like the map, it's unique while also having lots of room for PWPs and decorations. Do you plot reset? You might need it, though, because it seems like it would have a strong likelihood of villager houses ending up in front of each other's doors.

Also, I forgot to mention this in my last post. But those tiny strips of land between the train tracks are perfect for orchards. I also put a path through mine leading to a bridge just to make sure I pay that part of town some attention.

same, I like the secret beach <3

and I do not know how to plot reset-- I wish I did and it saddens me I just can't comprehend most guides and such. if someone can link me to a really good and simple tutorial, please do
