Wanting to participate the Halloween event in Animal Crossing: New Leaf with your online friends? Chances are, depending on your timezone, you might be inconvenienced by the maintenance taking place in October 31st, between 9PM EDT and 11PM EDT. If you need to consult what time is it for EDT, click here!

Since it seems to be likely coinciding with the upcoming Animal Crossing Direct in Japan, it's possible that the update data would go live just after the presentation. But, that isn't the reason why I posted this thread in first place. I wanted to give you heads-up about the planned downtime for the online features in ACNL.

I don't go trick or treating plus I'll pibably be on late.. but I'm gmt so I don't think the time affects me

Honestly it might be because it's the end of the month, and have nothing to do with halloween? A lot of things roll over monthly in acnl, it was probably easier to implement it then than any other time.

That idea discounts non us players though so maybe not.

thanks for the update!

my theory is that they're updating at those times because 1) the target demographic for this game in the US will probably be preoccupied by trick-or-treating, and 2) i'm assuming not a lot of people tend to be awake in those wee hours of the morning in the UK and europe.

i'm not entirely sure about the UK and europe times in different US time zones so don't ask me about it. i can't think that hard right now.

Assuming you live in the Netherlands it should be 3-5am for you
