I had a mini heart attack having to quickly close giveaway, like what do I tell someone if they post, "Well technically you posted first but you didn't."

In Japanese, "four" is said as both よん　(yon)　and し (shi). A lot of the time it depends on personal preference, but there are also specific circumstances in which you would choose one over the other (like when you're discussing time). The reason four is thought to be an unlucky number is because し can also mean death　（死）. Similar rules apply to a couple other numbers, too, I think. Nine can be pronounced as きゅう(kyuu) or く(ku), but く is also used to mean suffering (苦しい painful).
It's interesting stuff!

I knew, but I looked it up to make sure I had it all straight before saying anything. XD We learned a little bit about it in my Japanese classes. That's about all I know though, so if you've got anything else to add then please!
