"i've moved out"

so my friend who doesn't have the forums asked me to post this for her.

so basically she had an open plot and goldie just so happened to move in, little reminder, she did not receive goldie from someone who booted her out via amiibo. so when goldie moved in the only message was "I've moved out", which i normally get when i give a villager to someone, but she randomly got goldie, she never got her from anyone. but goldie appeared at her ceremony for her shop? i'm guessing its the plot glitch, but lmk if you guys have answers for her!

Yes, that is the plot glitch. It isn't anything to do with amiibos, it's trading villagers in general. Also problematic with voided animals from other players, you don't have to invite them, they just come on their own. Nothing can be done atm, unforunately.

I'm sure Nintendo is working on a fix. I imagine it'll be part of the Earth Day update coming soon.
