Items on the Ground?

So, I was messing around in my second town today, which is pretty new, and I saw a leaf on the ground. I figured, "no biggie, it's probably just a walking leaf." Except, when I went near it, I saw that it was a piece of furniture.. a Princess Chest to be exact. Now, I've never owned a Princess Chest in this town, especially since I don't even have a Gracie store. I haven't been shaking trees, either.. but even if I did accidentally shake a tree, can Gracie items even fall from trees? I thought it was only orderables.

I don't think so. I didn't order a Princess Chest from anyone here, and my only visits were to help with my Train Station.

I don't think a Princess Chest could fall off a tree, so probably a visitor who helped for your Train station dropped an item for you. Never encountered a random item on the ground for playing so long. If this happened to someone else though, with unorderable items, then WOW.

Come to think of it, I actually had someone drop off items in my town so they could restart. Maybe it's theirs? I'll be sure to ask them about it.
