Is your chance o getting a villager's picture affected by their personality type?

For example, I've heard that it's harder to get pictures from cranky villagers

Is this true?

I don't think personality has any effect on your chances of getting someone's picture. Bruce (cranky deer) was the second villager to give me his picture, and I didn't really treat him any different from the other villagers I was trying to get pictures off of.

I think it's just random. You must be friends with the animal and then you have a small chance at getting their picture from doing favors for them. I've been bending over backwards for Mott, Zell, Katt, and Cranston so I can get their pictures but I have yet to receive them. I have received Angus, Annalise, and Sydneys pictures and I don't do favors for them nearly as often as the others.
