The only thing I'm wondering about this is: Why do you want others opinions? You said you liked the map, has a secluded little Nook for your home, and has your Buttfruit you wanted. If it's up to your expectations, you shouldn't let others opinions decide whether you like it or not.
Everyone will put in their own opinions of what THEY like in a map, which could probably severely conflict, or possibly be on par, with things you like.
Like personally, I wouldn't choose this map. I like my map to be split evenly with a lot of space, and for my little house nook to be unable to be moved on by other villagers. Though I think if you can see actual potential in this town, then keep it and go for it and make it as awesome / beautiful as you'd like!

I really like the Re-Tail area, and the river isn't too limiting, I'd say keep it.

i usually don't let other people's opinions affect me but when it comes to a town map I just wanted some input? I like it but I just posted another thread wanting some town layout ideas so why not post my map too? sorry if it bothers you.

Not sure what's up everyone's butt to make people think others are being rude. I was genuinely curious as to WHY, not sitting there calling you names or something for asking about opinions.

I think you should keep it! My river looks a bit like that, except a bit higher and a little less winding, and I love having that layout. It provides a lot of potential for creative landscaping ideas; for example, I keep all my villagers below the river and I'm currently using the top half as a hybrid breeding ground(and my cafe is settled cozily into the top-left corner, sandwiched between the river and the train tracks). Eventually I plan to make it a sort of "introduction to the town" area for tourists, with lots of fun interactive PWPs and flowers. ^o^
The only things I'd worry about are Re-Tail, the beach, and Town Hall. Are you okay with their positions? If not, perhaps consider findi a new map with peaches; you can use PWPs and landscaping to make your town look cute no matter what, but you can't change the position of those three features. Rivers are usually easy to incorporate into landscaping, too.

I think you should just keep it since you said it took you 2 days of map resetting to find this map that's pretty decent. If you try to find another map, it'll probably take you a while until you find another one.
