Is there a way to reset a villager's interior house?

Some of my villagers have replaced their furniture with bugs I have gifted them. I had that they just place them down in empty spots, but that doesn't work for some interiors I discovered. Is there an efficient way to remove these gifts from their interiors? Or will they eventually revert back by there own after an extended amount of time with no gifts? Do they change interiors like they change clothes, e.g. periodically?

I don't think they can revert back to their original interiors without the gifted bugs/fish/items unfortunately, and they will from time to time reorganize the furnitures they have within their inventory (mostly the table top furnitures)... I have Lolly reorganize the table top furnitures I give her EVERY SINGLE DAY and it's really annoying tbh ahahahaha since not all the time she organizes it good, most of the time it looks messy...

You can gift them something if the same dimensions that you would prefer they display. It will rotate around though.

I loved in NL when you could offer to buy the item on occasion.

Just give them new gifts. They can change their interior even more than once a day Sometimes you will still see the bugs/fish but if you give them more there's a smaller chance ofcourse

It would be nice if visiting villagers via invite would be brought back into the game. If they offered to sell us their stuff like in NL it would help clean up the fish and bug mess.

Haha true, but the inviting or visiting part was sometimes really frustrating. Set a time like 20:00 and when it's 19:50 you have to go somehere and can't play or when it's 20:15 you think "damn I had to start the game...." and you're too late Had this so much so I'm glad that's gone. But it would be nice if there's a gamemechanic where you sometimes may pick an item from their home except special items like zodiac-furniture. Which can be hard to choose with homes like those of Elvis which is full of that stuff :')

Oh yeah. I remember completely forgeting about invites/inviting them over, and then they would tell me they were waiting. Oops.
