Is there a public works project limit?

Something bizarre just happened to me. o_o
I tried to commission a new public works project but all it would allow me to do was the town hall renovations.
Is that normal?

I'm kinda worried because I did spill water on my 3DS not too long ago, I pry that it's not a glitch.

Don't worry, it's normal c: Once you have a limit of 30 PwPs, the only renovations can be town halls, train stations, resetti center, etc.

it scared me too, I got a new game on the same DS and I couldn't do any more PwPs and I thought maybe it transferred them over to my cycling town which I don't need PwPs

Only 30 projects that can destroyed are allowed in your town at one time.

30 projects + original bridge. If you destroy the original bridge then the replacement would count towards the total.
