Is Super Mario 3D Land good?

There is currently a sale for Super Mario 3D Land in the eShop and I am thinking of buying it. Is it good? Or should I wait and see what will be discounted in the following weeks?

It's a great game, but I feel that a fair warning needs to be given as well. In a lot of stages, the camera is really wonky and you'll be having trouble calculating your jumps. It leads to unnecessary game overs, but in a game where you can easily get hundreds of lives it's not a big problem.

I'd recommend it.

I'd recommend Mario 3D World instead, but 3D Land isn't a bad game.

It's good, but very easy throughout. Even the extra 8 worlds shouldn't give you much trouble.

At first i thought this thread was asking about Mario 3D World arg I always confuse them.. I actually have 3D Land so I can actually give an opinion on it lol it's a very decent game, lots of levels and worlds (although it is not all that difficult so it's still fairly short overall) but most of the stages are really well-designed and just fun to play through. It's a really good game to kill time with if you're out and have your 3DS with you. I'd say it's worth it to get it while it's on sale, if you're generally a fan of the Mario platformers. =)

This. It was a really short game, and a year later I traded it in as I never touched it again after playing through it once.
If you've got a Wii U I'd say just pay a bit more and get 3D World instead, I thought it was a much better game. - unless you really want to see Mario in 3D.

Though I guess it depends on how cheap this sale makes it.

Tbh, 3D Land = best handheld Mario game ever if you ask me. But of course 3D WORLD was better, it was bigger and on the WiiU. It's a little apples and oranges though, it'd be more fair to compare Mario if he was on WiiU & PS3 or something lol

Pretty good game, very short however. Would definitely pick this up over New Super Mario Bros 2 though, I had more fun with this. If you've play Mario Galaxy or 3D World, it plays a lot like that.

It lacks replay value, if you're into platformers then it's a fine game. I wouldnt pay more than $20 for it at it's age.

Depends on how good you are at platform gaming. Personally, I didn't start getting good at them until recently and I haven't been able to beat this game because I find all the special coins you need to unlock levels. A more experienced gamer might find it boring. Overall, it's a really good game and does the Mario franchise justice, so if you're a Nintendo fan, you'd definitely benefit from buying this.
