Is shipping villagers good or bad?

The bottom line is that it doesn't matter.

Shipping villagers isn't gonna change anything in-game or in real life (unless you're into those creepy pics involving Apollo, Isabelle etc..)

I've done it for villagers who are clearly meant for each other, or ones who get along. However it doesn't affect anything.

By now, though not neccesarily having children with your sibling, it's kind of impossible for humans to not commit incest. (Have incest? Do incest?) Everyone's related after all, and I'm not talking about Adam and Eve, (Though they are the ancestors of everyone)
if you go back 50 generations, there is a person who is related to everyone.

I don't think there's anything wrong with shipping AC characters. There are some pairs that would make very cute couples. And techically there is already a in-game couple, Reese and Cyrus!

I mean it's a personal thing, if someone wants to ship their villagers and make art or write stories then cool. Anything involving creativity is hella rad in my opinion.

But I rarely have ships. Across all the games/shows/movies/books I enjoy, I probably only have 3 ships in total. I'm just not a shipper.

I can see how some villagers would look cute together though, like Fang and Whitney :3

I totally do! Like, in my town it's RolfxClaudia, RowanxBangle, and ZellxDiana...but I don't sexualize it, I just think of them as "together"--boyfriendxgirlfriend, that sort of thing. I think it's adorable!

most of it is innocent though, sexualization can make others feels uncomfortable however.
i dont think it really matter its just for fun, and its just a game. its not real so.

i personally love to think of back stories and whatever, because it makes the game more interesting for me, but im, personally, not into ac porn or anything.

(and even if someone is like thats there thing and it doesnt really matter lol)

This is the first i've heard of shipping.I'm not even really sure what it means.Is it just fantasizing that certain villagers are a couple? Or that you and a certain villager are a couple? I am an adult, so i feel goofy asking.

I am with you.....I was not sure what it meant, and was thinking that I having teenagers in the home is great 'cause they keep you up-to-date on current lingo (my teenagers are now adults).

It's all in fun. You can like it or you can dislike it, it's no big deal. Sexualisation of it definitely makes me uncomfortable though.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Shipping itself is fine but when it begins to get sexual that's where it's crossing the line of normal to just gross.

I so ship Whitney and Apollo together just because it's implied that they were in a relationship in the Animal Crossing movie. That's what made them two of my dreamies, and I have both of them in my town now haha.
