Is shipping villagers good or bad?

Just a question! I don't know if there is a thread like this, so forgive me if there is!

for me I accidently shipped chief and skye once, just once. Due to Skye offering chief if he would like to come over for some food. Eh I think its ok, but some people take it over the top.

It doesn't matter because they aren't real, as much as we make like them to be, so it's just up to you what makes your ACNL life more fun. There should be a poll option for "neither."

Ha, the extent of my villager shipping is thinking they look cute as a pair. I currently have this weird notion going on in my head that O'Hare and Fauna are having a long distance relationship XD He started wearing a shearling coat to match Fauna's when she was here, but I gave her to my brother like two months ago. He still hasn't changed out of his shearling coat.

This is the first i've heard of shipping.I'm not even really sure what it means.Is it just fantasizing that certain villagers are a couple? Or that you and a certain villager are a couple? I am an adult, so i feel goofy asking.
