Is meteor shower a time sink?

all I do is look up, go afk, and spam "A". I do this for over 10 min at times when it's slow.

does anyone do anything else? I tried fishing or catching bug in between but I constantly miss the stars.

Everytime I’ve had a decent shower I just stick YouTube on for abit and have the volume on my switch loud enough so I can hear the twinkle, if it’s not a really decent one I just do things I need to do and most of the time there will be one after another so I’ll get at least one lol

i find myself doing that too. I multitask at so many point during the game. I'm afk most of the time.

If I know there are stars I'll do quick things like check the beach for shells, dig up flowers, etc or else turn up the volume and switch to my computer

How often are you all getting meteor showers? I haven’t had one since the very first time they did it. And I totally get the multitasking thing, I feel like lately I’ve needed to watch Netflix or YouTube while I play or else I get so bored so quickly. But I don’t think I would be able to do that if I did get a meteor shower because I’d be afraid of missing stuff

not enough. the game drags at time.

If it's a light shower, I just play normally. You get 5-8 per minute until the minute change. If it's a major shower, I'll sit there until I get 20 or 100 wishes depending if I'm on my island or someone else's island. If it's a friend's island, I'll run around and see what they have done and water some flowers.

You can use a turbo controller they’re pretty cheap. It’ll click a for you the whole time and you can go do something else

When I'm really going ham for meteors I usually do it while I have a movie on or something. Then I have some nice background noise for entertainment and I can still hit meteors since it really doesn't require your full attention.

In the early game I thought about buying one of these controllers and leave it over night to get hundred of stars the next day. Got a meteor shower and was disappointed the next day.

i’ll usually just watch something or browse the forums while there’s a shower going on, as if i try to do anything else in-game, i’ll definitely miss stars lol

Depends on what you consider to be a "time sink". I think that you can get enough wishes in a short enough time span so that it's worth it, especially with how valuable star fragments seem to be.

I used to try and do other stuff during the showers. But I would stare at the sky for 5 minutes and there'd be nothing, and as soon as I tried to do something else, I'd miss out on 3 stars. Now I do the afk thing for a few hours at a time, but somehow only get like 10 star fragments the next day.
