Is it wrong to buy resources?

I think that comes down to personal morals/preference.

I'm sure Nintendo doesn't WANT you buying them...
But - Shrugs-

I thought using irl money for trade of digital services or in game items was against nintendos TOS but i could be mistaken. Would not reccomend at all

Technically, yeah it probably is? I mean I guess it's up to you to decide whether it bothers you or not but... I wouldn't personally

I think when you pay enough money for the base game, there's no real need to pay further money for something so easy to get with the game's mechanics.

Be wary of people asking for real currency, it's bad enough to be scammed for bells and NMT - virtual items in exchange for real currency is hard to police, for want of a better word. Especially since it's a third party and not through the game itself :)

Play the game however you want... Resources are pretty easy to come by so not sure I'd buy them but if you want then have at it...

As someone who hacked my copy of New Leaf... I have nothing against it personally lol. This game isn't competitive in the least so it isn't really hurting anyone imo.

Why would it be wrong to buy resources? If you need a bunch of resources really quickly then you should be allowed to buy from/trade with other players for it.

I only see stuff like this as a problem when people start selling in-game items for RLC. That shouldn't be allowed.

At the end of the day, how do you feel about it? If you're fine with it and can reason with the decision, then proceed. If you'll feel bad/guilty, then don't. Play the game the way you want to play said game. At the end of the day, nobody else is going to judge you harder than you judging yourself.

i personally would never buy materials for rlc - they’re fairly easy to obtain other than besides the iron nuggets, gold nuggets, etc. if you wanna buy them using in-game funds like nmt or bells then go ahead, but please don’t waste rlc cash on it

Personally, I wouldn't buy resources with RL money since resources are easy to come by, you could also TT'd next day to get resources or trade with other members in a reputable site eith IGB or NMTs.

Do know that's its against Nintendo ToS to sell digital goods, it might extend to buyers as well. We'll never know though Nintendo means in tracing these but it's better to be safe than sorry.

In the end, it's your game and your money. Hope you make the right decision though.

If you're at the point where you want to buy resources online, I'd suggest doing some light TT instead. Or you could buy a few tickets and get get resources from islands as well. I'm guessing you're out of Nook Miles at the moment which is why you're considering buying resources though.

I personally wouldn't be violating Nintendo ToS though. I'm pretty sure both parties are at fault when violating in this certain aspect. Plus it's overly risky for something that becomes easy to acquire.

It's not necessarily wrong but I think it's a waste of real life money.

Resources are so easy to come by and you can always trade for in game bells, nook miles tickets, flowers, furniture, clothing, etc. No need to spend real money imho.

It’s a bit of a waste with money buying resources and bells on ebay, it’s better to get resources with bells or island hopping.

I wouldn’t really say it’s wrong but it definitly is risky, especially when real money is involved.
Personally I’d rather buy resources with bells or nmt, but if you wanna buy resources on eBay with real money then that’s totally up to you in the end

Buying resources can make the game a lot less rewarding. One of the best parts of the Animal Crossing series is that the game is meant to be taken slowly, day by day. I'd much rather spend 15 minutes walking around my entire island chopping trees for wood, enjoying the scenery and occasional chat with villagers, rather than obtaining all the stacks I need instantly for some money. But, thats just how I enjoy the game the most.
