Is it still possible to get Katie in your train station?

Was wondering if it is still possible to get Katie with the use of Pretendo. Even though I’ve been playing since 2014 on the same exact save, to my memory I have never gotten her in my train station. I thought it would be fun to try her quest since I never got her as a kid either. Also, could it be possible I could be misremembering? I’m not sure if she shows up only for your first wifi connection to another players town or not.

Can't speak to the pretendo thing unforts because I haven't gotten it set up yet, but I know she definitely can show up beyond your first connection to an outside town. I have had her show up in my town once after connecting with someone locally, and it was after the third or fourth time we had visited each other's towns.

Yeah, I was wondering if I were to connect locally with my friend if it'd 'trigger' it ... I don't remember using local play SINCE 2014... I never really used local play since only 2 of my friends had 3DS' at the time and only one of them had Animal Crossing. Thanks for the insight though, cause now I'm curious if local play will make her appear.

I don’t think I ever visited towns over WiFi as a child but I saw a lot of Katie just from playing locally with my family

She still comes with local play. Same with unlocking the train station renovation.
