Her announcements themselves are cute, but having her say meaningless stories every single day is really stupid. Don't get me wrong, her finding her lost sock is really adorable, but used in succession just ruins it. I wish she at least announced the weather for today or which NPC was visiting the island. I understand she is suppose to be "on vacation" but youre right, the idea doesn't translate well. It would be cool if she could be seen wandering around the island enjoying the furniture you put out most of the time. Or her job and Tom Nooks could be combined, and the two could rotate every few days or something. I feel like her "job" in residents services is underdeveloped, and more explanation as to what she actually does is needed.
I think she's cute when she sleeps at her desk but the announcements really bother me, I just wish there was an announcement only when something actually happened and not having to listen to Isabelle stories over and over again!
hmm i think she was definitely changed but just in the way that she has less work. i feel like she was always more personable and willing to share details of her life, but since she had a lot to do as secretary she just,.. didnt rly have a life ig? and the island life is rly slow-going compared to the town life. i dont rly know why they added her in this game as an npc bc Tom Nook honestly does everything. ig if they made him have to talk to villagers about how their shirts r inappropriate it would give him less time to focus on building bridges and stuff but the way they implement Isabelle is a bit useless. not many ppl change their flag or island tune enough to warrant that being her only use, but like others have said the villager complaints dont do anything either. i agree that Isabelle should announce every npc arrival (excluding Gulliver, Celeste, & Wisp bc those r more random), but i also think that complaining to her about a villager's catchphrase should rid the villager of that specific catchphrase along with any other villagers who might have picked it up, & complaining about a villager's shirt should maybe remove all the villager's clothing?? but i guess if u gave someone rly expensive clothing that would suck, but if i have a villager wearing a shirt that i dont like id do anything to get rid of it.
