So I finally got some downtime to sit and play my DS after the busy week I?ve had. I recently restarted my town and finally got Club Tortimer, so I was really excited to start hopping around hunting for island items and whatnot. The first session I got to, sucked. Horribly. It was just me and another person, and it was fine, except they spammed ??? Constantly, but that is something easily ignored. Then another person arrived, wearing a melon hat and a Steven universe shirt. I complemented his shirt and we had a conversation. I asked if we could go on a tour and he said no, so being the person I am I just went to fish and catch bugs for my encyclopedia. Then a fourth person arrives, and immediately tries to leave, and the guy in the Steven universe hat refused to leave his menu, and the fourth person refused to stop trying to leave repeatedly so I couldn?t even type to try and work it out. I had caught a lot of valuable bugs and I couldn?t even open the box to deposit them. I couldn?t walk three steps without stopping. So then I tried leaving with the lil kappa home button in the bottom corner, which got me stuck completely. So I just shut off my DS. And it?s sad, the way that happens. I used to be able to go to club Tortimer all the time, no worries. Now it?s every single time. And I just want a darn pink wetsuit dang it!! Anyway, what is the BEST experience you had at club Tortimer? And do you think club Tortimer is worth it?
Put them on ignore and wait it out.
Go get a sandwich or something, that can't do that all day.
Worse come worse you get resetti error and at least you'll get a tan.

I think overall it's worth it, but use your judgement to decide.
I think it is worth it for the exclusive items. Island hoping can also be fun and you do meet lots of interesting people there, some weirdos too. If I am fishing or catching bugs I will go to my own island though as you can fill your basket without interference.
Ive never had a club toritmer experience that was above mediocre. It was worth it in the sense that I collected the island exclusive furniture much faster using it. Other than that it’s either a wacky hacker experience or the people are annoying.
I'd say yes for completion and a good way towards medal badges. But yeah watch our for the bad kind of hackers and don't take things personally; either ignore it or push the "SOS button" to get back home instantly.
back in the day, there was actually good, nice people. the only hacking was dropping bells and rare handhelds, so it was always more good than harm. i was even addicted to club tortimer back then!
nowadays, it just sucks. majority of people don’t speak english, or they’re corrupting the whole island...i can’t even find anyone to talk to!
I've met some genuinely nice people, but that was when the game had just come out. I barely go there at all now, but from what I've heard it's become a cesspool.
People over-exaggerate on CT. I probably met like three or four terrible people/island trips over the course of my three year island visits. Most people either keep quiet and just do whatever they were doing or they interact and are quite pleasant. The worst was right after WA and that was pretty much because the game got a major resurgence. The numbers fluctuated so highly, but now it dropped back to what it was before.
Do you notice how most of the people who comment always say something along the lines of 'I don't go there (at all/anymore) but someone said it's the worst'
kapp'n will never stop pestering you for if you want to go there (more tedious to get to the island)
membership card never disappears from the island shop even after you get it
club tortimer exclusive items can far more easily just be got from a trader online

oh yeah, and the people there are generally just tolerable at the best, and outright garbage at worst
One day there was this girl in CT, who kept chasing me around, hitting me with the net she had, sudden dash near me so the fish I was tying to catch runs away, spamming etc. I just plainly talked to her. then I knew she was a little girl. She said she had a fever but mom was away because work. I told her that she'd better put the 3DS down and take some sleep. Then she said she will if we had some fun tours, to which I said okay, and told her but I have to leave after doing tours twice. ( I had work as well. )
After tours, she said to me "Arigato" which means thank you and I told her be sure to drink something and go back to bed, despite she just tried to annoy me at first.
When I remember this, it makes me smile. And wonder if she's doing okay.
So yes. Though there are times that "starts" with unpleasant stuff, but it usually turns out okay like when I met this girl. I like island hopping.
It is worth it. There may be some weird people but that's all. You can leave your things on the ground before going to the island if you fear hackers. That's what i do.
