Holding hands ≠ love. I'm sure he didn't hold his hand because he liked him. He knows he's straight, so why would he hit on him? Seriously, why are straight guys so afraid of gay guys hitting on them? >_>
Besides, holding hands, no matter what gender or sexuality, is a sign of comfort, friendship, and happiness, among other feelings, not just love. Close friends hold hands all the time. I've held hands with my male friends and female friends, straight friends and gay friends. You should be smart enough to know when it means love and when it's just friendly comfort. Obviously, if it's with someone who doesn't even have the same sexual preference as you, then it's not love.
