Im worried

Genji has asked me to leave a couple of times now.

we have like the highest possible friendship level i think.
l love this bunny and he's my all-time fav... had him since release date :C

what im worried about is that he'll just move out on his own, no consulting me. i know it can happen in NH (tho rare) and i'd be so sad D:

Can it happen? I was under the impression that you have to give permission.

They removed that in NH. They have to pass it by you before they just up and move now.

If I remember correctly, it's completely random which villager asks to move out! You can usually just reset your Switch and a different villager will ask you to move out.

Villagers also can't move out in NH without your permission, so there's no risk of him moving out without you knowing.

luckily it can't happen any more so he won't leave without your knowledge! still sucks when your faves ask to leave though

I'm positive. It was a thing in previous games such as New Leaf that they changed in the latest one. If they moved out on your friend's island then there's something else going on. Maybe they said they could leave by rushing through the dialogue and didn't realize?

Yeah, they can't move out whatsoever, until you tell them "yes." So you shouldn't have anything to worry about

OK. Genji is gonna be trapped on my island for eternity until i get tired of him XDDDDDD

if you have an alt character they will also ask them btw, if you accidentally let him leave in the future! i have genji too, he’s such a sweetheart.

he's also my husband. and he understood when i moved my house further away from his cuz i needed furniture space
