I have a villager that just pinged me that she want to move out in four days. She's in my farming town so I'm happy to have her move to a place where she's wanted. I have a friend that would like to take her but she has ten villagers also and so has to wait until the one she wants to leave, pings her.

I know if I reset to a previous day or to a day ahead the game will count it as a day but what if I reset to an earlier time the same day. For example if at 9PM tonight I reset it to 9AM this morning, would that count as a day still? Would I be able to extend the time that way until the slot opens up for her to move?

If you're trying to buy time for a move out, just don't cross the 6 AM line when you time travel backwards. Simple as that. It's tricky, though. Just try not to forget, but I'm sure if it's four days that's enough time for one or two mistakes. Don't jump a single day forwards or backwards.

A new day starts at 6 AM. As long as you don't TT past 6 AM, you'll be able to stall as long as you want. The only problem is, you'll be stuck on the same day, which means Nooks won't restock, no new visitors, etc.

Perfectly ok - I can order items from my catalog and refurbish them to my heart's content for the dream town. :) Thank you for the quick reply.
