I'm SO upset!

Just a few minutes ago I played acnl for the first time in maybe a week or so, and what do I find? A letter saying Lolly has moved out. She was one of my last dreamies I had obtained and I had payed a lot of tbt for her. This just makes me so upset because I don't even think I've had her for even 2 months. This has happened before with my BFF Julian, I literally started crying. I can't wait to see what tier 6 animal replaces her...not :sad:
My town was perfect until Julian had moved out and now I have Charlise from someone's void. This really sucks, I hope this never happens again. :c

aw, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I lost a dreamie of mine recently too, I know how heartbreaking it is :c

but you could always find someone new to replace her! that way it won't be some random move-in that could be hideous, as seems to be the case when these things happen ._. a lot of people will give villagers away for free too, so you could skim through some cycling threads and see if there's anyone new you may want to give a shot, at least just to avoid a random one.​

Just find someone else to replace her. When I lose someone, I don't do the cycle, I just replace them.

That's one thing that annoys me about AC, if you don't play for even as little as a week or so, so much could have changed..

What a coincidence, I just came back from a two-week hiatus and I find that Lolly has moved out of my town. I'm actually quite upset because I didn't think I would end up liking her so much :c Sorry this happened to you too.

another awful thing is when it's the day before the villager leaves so when you log-in isabelle informs you they're moving the next day so they're still in your town, in boxes, and you can't do anything about it

Aw, that sucks! Next time just go back in time to the day you last played or before as it only counts as a day to time travel backwards no matter how far back you go. I hope you get her or Julian back soon!

Maybe look at it as an opportunity to get another normal villager you like? When Muffy moved out tragically I finally got the opportunity to get Pashmina, and it helped me cope a bit lol. Sorry for your loss though, it really does suck.

I'm sorry that you lost Lolly. I had the exact same happen to me with Julian, I paid a lot for him and I just ended up loosing him next time I loaded up my game. I felt like I wasted a lot of my own time, since I paid for him just to lose him to no fault of my own. But I guess on the good side, losing him meant that I have less people to try to move out of my second town. It also gave me motivation to come back to TBT, since usually when I gain all of my dreamies I just lose motivation for going on here since I have nothing to work towards. Honestly though, more than any other personalities there's plenty of cute designs for normal villagers. Like Daisy, Goldie, Pekoe etc.. whereas with smugs it's hard because most of their designs are creepy. I'm looking at you Chops and Lionel.. I know they're meant to be gentlemanly but it just feels like you're talking to weird old men. I know how it feels to not want anyone else but the villager that left but maybe in time you'll find a good replacement.

I was supposed to get my next dreamie, Mitzi. I moved one of my favrorite villagers out for her. I talked to her in the other person's town and she wouldn't come to me. I had space for her. No new plots were set up. Nothing. So we decided to TT me a day forward to try again and big old ugly AL had placed a plot right on my path and right in betweem my shops (like between my retail/cafe and the shops at the station, so he's impossible to ignore... what makes it worse is... I'm scared of gorrillas! I'm not even scared of that many things. But yeah, I have no Mitzi... because of this monster.

aw man, i'm sorry that happened-- the exact same thing happened to me with Lolly, she was my favorite villager, and when i was learning how to time travel through trial and error, i loaded up the game and had a letter from her that she had moved out. this was before i joined any forums, so i didnt have the option of cycling in order to buy her, so i just did the best i could finding a suitable replacement from my campsite, and it turnedo ut pretty well. first i got Kiki, who is also a normal cat that isd a sweet villager. Then later when another villager moved out, i got Fauna the normal deer, and I gotta say i love Fauna as much as Lolly (maybe even a little more). so even though it totally sucks to lose Lolly that way, you can definitely find another villager that you will like just as much. good luck!

i forgot to mention-- you can get a lot of info from this forum about protecting against villager move outs that are very effective if you don't mind time-travelling. the important thing if you think you may go a week or several days without playing, is make sure you deny a villager move out ping before you save and quit for the day. then you can take as long a break as you wish. if you haven't done that, or you can't recall, and youve taken a break from playing, then you should change the time settings to the last day you played before you laod up your village. then you can get the denied moved out request and safely time travel forward to the current day without losing anyone.
