Why do my couches sound like they have whoopee cushions under them?! (I recorded it. They sound like whoopee cushions.)
It hasn't been affecting my stools (which is to be expected, they're wooden stools. How do you hide a whoopee cushion under a stool?) but it has affected my Cream Sofa, my Minimalist Sofa, and my Sleek Sofa, but my Ice Sofa sounds normal. (they're all just the sofas I have in my house.)
My town's date is 3/21 (today; i don't time travel often at all) and Gracie's here, if that matters, but I doubt it.
Does it have to do with luck? I have Gracie here, and not Katrina, and I don't have Katrina's shop.

This is weird.

Ah, I remember chairs making sounds. I'm not entirely sure, but when I had that happen, it was because I was playing for more than two hours without doing the saving and quit option. Not sure though, so hopefully some else responds to this. I'm curious as well.

OMG, does the game punish you with farts if you play too long????? I'm going to do it on purpose now.

As LambdaDelta said, you are having a bad luck day.

Another way to find out your lucky item for the day is use the Lovely Phone. Two items of clothing that boost luck are the Celebration Hat and Tingle Hood.

First time I encountered this I thought my speakers were glitching out to the point my anxiety flared up and I spent five hours googling for answers until I came across an answer that settled my anxiety a bit. u_u

For me farting a whole bunch if actually a good luck kind of day, but yeah, in the game it means you're having some bad luck

congrats, you have a bad luck day

go talk to katrina for how to fix it

I have been playing ACNL for 3 years now and I was today years old when I realised that couches sound like whoopie cushions when you're having a bad luck day oof

You learn something new everyday I guess.

side note, I think when I first discovered it I made my brother listen to it and we cracked up for like 10 mins, because we're real mature lmao

When I first heard the noise, I was on a lovely love seat wearing a denim skirt, so I thought the denim was making that noise. Even later down the road I only ever experienced that while wearing denim pants/skirts.

That's so weird thou, that it's associated with bad luck. What if you did it in front of animal? Would they notice...?

I always thought it was only certain furniture items that made that noise, like the lovely chair and the frog chair.

But then again I've only really interacted with those items in AC:GCN, when the good/bad luck feature didn't exist yet.

That's weird. I never realized what bad luck does in Animal Crossing. I thought that some of the chairs just always sounded funny.

Bwahah, thanks guys. Unfortunately, I don't have Katrina's shop yet, and Gracie was in my town that day, so. I couldn't figure it out that day. It's not happening anymore, so woohoo, no farting!

personally i think you just got gas, go get some pepto or something
i sWEAR IT'S NOT ME OR THE CHINESE FOOD IT'S JUST THE COUCH-

I had Merengue visit about 5 minutes later, but she didn't react to it.

However, it makes me curious whether the King Tut mask will do anything to the couch noises. I'll try it and see what happens.
