Ignoring trick with 2 characters in town?

I'm kind of stuck here, so any help would be appreciated! u v u
okay, so I created another character to ignore a villager I want to move out but already "befriended". that villager moved out successfully, and I still have that 2nd character. now, I'm cycling 16 villagers (twice OTL;; ) so I've been campsite hunting + ignoring them later on when they move in.

Does ignoring the villager with both my mayor and alt character count as ignoring them, or does the game take it as befriending since they've been talked to twice, technically?

I believe it counts it as being ignored by both characters, since they're separate characters. Good luck!!

I believe that if you talk to them only once (when you introduce yourself), then ignore them afterwards, is an effective way of moving villagers out quicker. it's explained much better in >> this video << ; v ;
