What would you do with the money? For the sake of argument, let's just say you get $10 million, and this is after whatever deductions/taxes the government takes out. It doesn't matter if it's a lump sum, or a monthly payment, it's $10 million either way.

For me personally, I'd give 10% to my family, give 10% to a political group that I support, put about 50% into savings, 20% into investments, and the remaining 10% would go into building a house in Washington state for my boyfriend and myself, and then I'd buy things I want.

Meh this is hard..I never really thought about it!
First off I'd put off most of it in a savings account. I would save for college and travel, and for a house for my family either here in the U.S. or in their country. I'd give some to my family, but I have such a big family that it would be hard for me to be able to give to all of them. I would want to give some percentage of it to charities. and the rest I'd go on a massive shopping spree :)

I'd give a small amount to my family. I wouldn't bother with investments or anything, 10 million is more than enough to live off! I'd treat myself and some close family members! I guess I'd just go on holiday a lot!

With 10 million you wouldn't even need to go to college! Let alone save for it!

oh that's true! see it would also be hard for me to sink in the fact that i'm rich if I had 10 million xD

Get an accountant. Taxes every year would be murder.

Pay off my school loans, go for a masters.

Travel. If I ever get sick of that I'd probably buy a house somewhere and start making my own games.

If you can pay for it, not going to college would be a colossal mistake.

I wouldn't let anyone know about it, firstly. Of course, besides my boyfriend and my accountant...and government.
I wouldn't live "rich" I would like moderately with no fancy cars or fancy houses. I would still keep my job as a teacher but go for my masters. I would get married to my boyfriend if I wasn't already and maybe move a little further North. I would help my family some, but not enough that they know I'm loaded. I hate the false "best friend" act some people do when they find out people have money, and I may sound horrible, but my family would do that. I would donate to educational charities and find out how I could help buy our local school district new books. Our district has been using the same books since my boyfriend and I were in school ><

The rest, I guess I'd just save and invest.

The first thing I'd do would be to pay of mortgages - mine, my father's, my mother's, and both of my brothers'. Then I'd set some money aside to care for each of my parents in the future, as well as funds for my niece and nephews to put them through college or training, depending on the profession they decide on.

After that, I'd put something aside for my future, because you never know what will happen. I'd donate some to charities, travel, make some renovations to the house I've wanted, and probably go back to school. I'd also leave my job and focus on writing full-time.

visit all my internet friends and maybe since I have money now I can get a boyfriend SOB

I would buy a house in California (not too big though.) I would then save 50% of the money and spend it on the things that I've always wanted (macbook, ipad3, iphone 5, blackberry Q10, etc etc.)

I'd probably save half of it, then donate some to a children's hospital, pay off my mom's school loans, pay for my and my sister's college funds, buy a house for my mom and sister for when I leave for school, and give some to my family and keep some for myself to spend.

I'm underage, but assuming they changed the laws and I COULD win the lottery, I would give probably 2mil (20%) to various charities, use whatever was necessary to pay off the house and the cars, then I'd get myself a car, as I will be sixteen soon, and shooting for a drivers license. Whatever was left will go into savings for the eventual family I plan to have.

Finishing schooling and go to Oxford (seeing as we're talking idealistically here). Get a quality car and buy a house in the English countryside. Make sure that my parents have enough money when they become elderly to afford care etc etc.
Then after all that spend my time travelling, reading and investing/building upon the original sum.

Me and my boyfriend have already agreed that if one of us wins the Euro Millions lottery we would only let each other know, as to avoid the "I'm your best friend/family member, can I have blah blah blah?" rubbish. We would buy something nice for our friends and families, but nothing expensive to arouse suspicion, we would buy a smallish house for the two of us and two munchkin cats. The rest would be saved to help our currently non-existent children in the future and to get us a good retirement flat when we are old.

We might buy some flashy things at first- anyone would when faced with a whole ton of money- but eventually we would calm down and stick to our plan.

EDIT: I would also push some money into the business I want to make in the future.

Pay off my stupid college loans, stop going to school, throw the rest in savings and live a normal life with a normal job with the protection of financial security.

I would probably buy everything I need... a place to live, car, and to pay for school. Definitely buy instruments and recording
equipment. Also, spend a lot on my family, buy my mom a house, etc.
There would definitely be a lot left that I would save and later
donate a portion of it to clauses I feel strongly about.

I would buy my parents a nice house far away from where we currently live. I would also buy my grandma a house in the Philippines and attempt to get her a Sari-sari-esque store that she's always jokingly wished for.

Then I myself would "disappear". I don't want people asking for money. I'd start a new life somewhere completely different, maybe under a new identity or something.
