What would it be like? Do you have name ideas for another island? A theme? Would you pick a different design?

Personally, I really liked the idea of making an island called Bebop. It's short and cute and I think it fits with the cuteness of the game. I got it from Cowboy Bebop, but I don't think I would do anything else on the island that would reference that show. Maaaaybe try to get villagers who resemble the characters? But I feel like that would take the fun away from it. I'd just want something cute.

A more recent idea that I really like and would almost certainly do if I had another Switch is make an island called St. Jude (after the patron saint of lost causes) and only have villagers who most of the community dislikes. Almost like a refuge for them. I'd love to go wild and give each one a decent area of land and decorate exactly how they would like to show off their design and personality. The more I'm playing my current island the more I want to fall in love with villagers that are not as popular since it gets boring seeing so many islands with the same ones.

Not sure what kind of layout I would go for. My current island has both river spots on the bottom of the map, which I would prefer not to have now that I've played with them for so long. They're annoying to work around for the most part. But I would want an island with more tiers, because my current one doesn't feel very geographically diverse.

i used to be like "i want a second island!!" but lmao i don't have enough ideas for my current island. it would be sort of cool to make a kidcore island though, but i could do that on my already existing island i guess...

My current island has ruins from a lost kingdom, so I’d like to create that kingdom during it’s reign, and tell the story about how it fell, using little hints.

But yeah, I won’t be getting another Switch. One island is more than enough, lol.

I think I would make it Christmas themed. Maybe have all penguin villagers. Only problem with that is the seasons changing.

If I had a second Island it would probably be a multipurpose Island to help me do things I need to. I don’t think I’d be able to have a second Island and decorate it one island is enough for that.

I have a second island! I mostly use it for trading and resources. But I'd like to develop it like I did my main island, someday.

I have a second island using my bf’s switch lol but it’s been largely a villager cycling town for me to give villagers to friends and people on here

I do have plans for it down the line but terraforming 2 islands is a...chore... eventually I’m planning on making my island super foresty and mystical

Having a second island would be a struggle, I'm having enough trouble thinking of ideas for my first island! But if I did have one it'd probably end up being an autumnal/forest themed island like my New Leaf town instead of the seaside market town vibes I'm trying for with my current island. I tried to pick an island with a vague enough aesthetic that I could include virtually anything I wanted for it to have haha.

I don't ever plan on getting another Switch though.

I like to base my towns/islands off of seasons, and my NL town was cherry blossom season themed, and my NH island is summer/tropical themed. That being said, if I got another AC town or island, I would want to do a fall theme!

As someone who has five NL towns, I have def thought of this.

Konpeito was my second choice to name my island, but I ultimately went with Natsukashi. I might name my second island Konpeito. I really want to have one of my fav mayors, Kasumi, in game. She wouldn't match my island now but she could get her own island. I'm also writing down ideas that I wanted in Natsukashi but I either changed my mind or they ended up not fitting (I ran out of space cause the idea takes up too much room). If or when I get my second island I'm def gonna put those ideas SOMEWHERE on my island.

I would also transfer some of my current villagers to my new island. Judy would fit well since Konpeito would have softer tones. However there's no way I'm giving up Judy. Originally I wanted magical villagers for Natsukashi but with various changes in themes, now normal looking villagers work better. Villagers like Stinky, Jaques, even Raymond, ect...

I DO have a second island! I got it for multiple reasons (sharing an island was tough on me, I wanted to go with a SH island but my parents wanted a NH island, I commute (or used to commute) among other things) and I thought over it for months. I’m currently loving having my new island to work with and I consider it my main island!

man I had a second copy of the game but bc of Nintendo’s 1 island per switch rule I can’t even play it! I gave it to someone else though so I hope they have fun with it~

the island I’m working on now is very unstructured/natural/foresty with a white/yellow fall theme!

i think I would want my second island to be way more structured and actually feel like a little town :) also probably very pink haha

if I had a second island, I'd probably have it set in the Southern Hemisphere and create a theme that's opposite to the one I already have. maybe something like a dark victorian theme, since my current one is a light-colored royal theme :>

since my current island is based off fairy towns in pokemon games (Laverre city and Ballonlea), i'd like my other island (if i ever have one) to take inspiration from the ghost type! i think it would be really cool to have my town tune be the infamous Lavender town song >:]

I would probably do an Arctic themed town. It would be located above the tree line so I could only use flowers and bushes, no trees. I think it would be an interesting challenge to try to make a town like that look good.

I would explore the idea of having (almost) everything on the first and second level, much like in New Leaf.

My current island is pretty basic, no real theme, but I like the freedom to do whatever. I would do a themed island, like fairytale, ancient civilization (with Roman mythology), or an all dog island (all deer or squirrels could be fun, too.)

My island is still a mess so need to focus on that first. Thinking about revamping a lot of it.

I don’t think I would be able to manage two at once just like I can only play one game at a time (and also because it would stress me out), but if I did and it did work out somehow, I’d maybe make it strictly One Piece related since I really love One Piece. Right now, my theme is Dragon Age, but I’m incorporating some ideas based on other things I like now. Like thr upstairs in my house is based off of the muggy kingdom - inside Mihawk’s manor and outside and downstairs is based off of aquarium room/kitchen on the Thousand Sunny. Those two were designs originally from the fair, so I definitely had not planned on designing my house at all (at least until we got more furniture).

I really like your idea of having a Cowboy Bebop theme. ^.^ I’d love to visit if you ever make it.

Currently, my island is a garden-themed aviary type thing, but I've always seen the appeal for a snowy or winter-themed island. Even though it would really only be relevant during three months of the whole year, I've always had a liking for a lot of the winter or ice-themed furniture and the winter-themed villagers as well (Sprinkle, Bianca, Hans, Erik, etc.).

Whenever I do, I'm thinking of doing a Prehistoric Theme Park (Not Jurassic Park) themed town. I have imagined how the entrance could look like and plan out everything else out when the time comes.
