If you could make a second island...

If I had a second island I would probably try to remake my first island but better. I'd want to get a better layout to fit my concept. I wish they would let us move river mouths and the dock. After getting that town settled I'd delete my original town then probably make a untouched town as close to a New leaf town as possible. There is something so beautful about a natural town as well.

I just started a second island called Ninefield, which may becomes my main island, since I already like it more than my first island. I try to give it a theme based of my favorite TV shows (kinda like a combination of various ones instead of just one), but I still have to work on the details.

my island is kinda just an "I do what I want, place items where I want" sort of thing. I do have a playground area and a lot of beach items on the beach, but there's no real theme. The main reason why I want a second island is so I could have more of my dreamie list. there are 20 dreamies on the list of "ones I want" and a separate list of 5 that I have. However, some residents that weren't originally dreamies aren't allowed to move out (like Skye, I love her too much).
It would also be nice to have a theme with the new island. Perhaps I'd base it on Redwall, a book series I adore, and go for villagers who would be like residents of Redwall Abbey/Any location from the series... like, all the rabbit villagers in a cliff area by the beach to reference Salamandastron... I'm getting so many ideas now!
I actually am saving up for a second Switch- specifically a Switch Lite- for more than just this reason. When I get it, I probably will do a Redwall themed island. It'd be a lot of work, but I'm excited for it!
now I need to add more rabbits to the dreamie list as there's literally only one...

I have four ACNL towns that I work on from time to time. As for ACNH, this game doesn’t mean enough to me to develop another island.

Slightly off-topic, but I actually just restarted my Wild World file a week ago and named it Bebop (like Cowboy Bebop as well, haha); what a coincidence! Moreso because I thought it was short and funky.

I would love a second town, mostly because I have so many favorite villagers. I'd love to only have to narrow it down to 20 rather than 10! It would definitely be a themed island, since I just try to decorate as I please and don't have a theme for my main island. However I've never really put much thought into what I'd theme my second island around, since I know I won't have one, haha. Perhaps I'd try and style it after older Animal Crossing games, or maybe something themed after a specific anime or a different video game, like a mishmash of Zelda references and areas!

i have a vision in mind of creating some urban or rural looking japanese town or even dystopian looking city but in reality i know for a fact that i wouldn't be able to keep up with 2 copies of the game at the same time and i'd probably end up abadoning one of them.

i have a more natural/prettyish sorta island but if i made a second one then i wouldn't be against going more gothic-ish ? seems like it would be kinda fun to do + have characters like muffy, coco, roscoe, lucky, kiki etc.

as for island name, would probably do something with moon in it, like moonfall, moonhaven, moonside, moonrise, etc.

I don't think I want a second island. Making one has been both fun and draining. Guess it's because it's the first game that gives us the most creative freedom. Unfortunately, this is also the first AC game that's made me take extensive breaks.

Yes to the Squirrels! If I ever had an island/town of only 1 villager type it would be Squirrels, I think they're so fun and cute and would be really fun to live around. The few that have names related to nuts could all live together like a little girl group

Well my current island is fully themed to the point none of my characters are me. If I were to have a second island (I never will, but if I did) I would make my character literally me like I used to do for the older games. Not sure how I’d decorate my island though as most of my inspiration has come from my current island’s theme.

As much as I love my themed island and characters I do miss playing as myself from time to time.

it honestly sucks how we're not able to have two cartridges and have more than one island per system though bc i'd never buy another switch, they're way too expensive just for animal crossing.

The only reason i want a second island is for my mom, she really wanted to make a sailor moon themed island as it was one of her favorite shows a kid, I broke it to her this morning that only one island could be made. Rest in peace sailor moon island!
edit: now i am thinking of restarting so i can make a sailor moon themed island for her!

If I had a second island I'd probably just use it as a testing ground for design ideas for my main island, because I would rather still focus my energy into my main island. I'd also use it for experiments, such as how much of the game you can play without upgrading your tent, glitches, that sort of thing

I'd do a lot of this differently, I like my current island the way it is but I don't think I utilized the space to its full potential. I'd either keep the forest theme and do more terraforming, or go a more modern route.

I would love to have a futuristic/sci-fi themed island named Arclight. Maybe if the astro, robo, etc series ever return...

I would make a Hunger Game style island and have my villagers compete to see who gets their picture in the sky.

I'd probably go for a jungle or tropical theme if I had another island. My island's name is Aria, so I'd probably stick with a musical name. Cadenza is the first name that comes to mind. On Aria, there are only coconut trees on the beach, but on Cadenza they'd probably be all over the island. I feel like the islanders may be a bit more jungle themed as well. There'd probably be a monkey, a tiger, a frog(probably Raddle), an alligator, and so on!

the idea seemed nice in new leaf , and I had a couple different towns, but in new horizons it just feels stressful.

If I were to ever change my mind though, I would probably like a pink island xD
Right now my island I like to make it more dull with neutral darker colors. Black and grey villagers. If I were to have a second, it would be the opposite. Probably pink villagers, pink furniture, pink houses, etc. that’s just an idea though. I don’t see myself getting a second island (onless we are able to buy one in game or something). Like a second vacation getaway package.

If I could make a second island, I'd give it to my bro and let him go wild making it to his liking. He's a history buff, so I figure he'd theme his island like a battlefield. He could choose his own villagers, too. They would probably be mostly dogs with some rabbits mixed in. He's a dog person, and I'm a cat person. Because of this, we tend to have disagreements on what kind of villagers we want.

I’m a history buff too so if that ever happens, I’d love to see it . I have only visited a few battlefields but I have loved every one of them though at Gettysburg it bothered me they move some monuments around and switched some names around :/.
