Ideas for a wild/sparse beach?

The beach area is horrendously hard for me to design (in my non-hacked town) since so many things are off limits, like PWPs and trees other than palms. I want a somewhat sparse, desolate looking beach, not a pina colada paradise. Can you put paths on the beach? (I've never tried.) If anyone has ideas, let me know!

I don't use paths, but I know they can go on the beach. I've seen some patterns of drawings in the sand or a sand castle. A quick Google search would probably give you some QR codes.

ohh i love the idea of sand drawings! i wonder how well i can get them to blend in...

here are some ideas I've seen other people use/I plan to use!
- plant lots of coconut/banana trees and flowers (lilies and violets look esp good on the beach imo!)
- make little sitting areas out of stumps from palm trees
- use lots of qrs (sand castles and towels/blankets, also boardwalk/wooden-esque paths look nice on the sand)
- lay out wetsuits and fishing rods
- decorate using other misc items (ores/gems, seashells, fossils, fruit/fruit baskets, k.k. slider airchecks, ice cream, other handheld goodies)

Thanks for the ideas! I like the thought of stumps... wish we could have felled trees
Fossils too! Will definitely look out for boards/driftwood like qrs
