I wonder if it's possible for villagers to 'share' custom designs with one another... that'd be a nightmare

So I'm the one who posted the audie with the "lil hoe" custom design that she brought from her previous town...

A thought just popped into my mind... What if she shares that custom design with the rest of my town? That'd be a nightmare.

Is it possible?

Hmm, now that I think about it I suppose it might've been! I don't have any custom designs up in able's on my NL towns anymore and it's been a while since I did so I'm not totally sure but yeah, I hope they can't do what you're talking about in NH. It'd be so annoying. If they do I guess you'd just have to complain to Isabelle about it.

They definitely did "share" clothing including custom designed clothes if they talked to each other, and afterwards were seen singing; it was very random though.

I just went through a custom design nightmare in NH, where everyone was starting to wear my one design I put on Able Sisters. It was a rather girly hoodie and I didn't want all of my villagers wearing it, and suddenly Sherb, Fang and Cherry picked it up in less than a few days lol Of course you can't remove the design once you put it up in the shop, but what you can do is replace it with a "hat" design and they won't be able to wear it anymore.

Can't you just report them to Isabelle for their terrible clothing? I'm pretty sure the report option is just there to get rid of sitty things other players did toke a rude phrase or offensive clothing.

Omg the same is happening to me right now, they're all starting to wear the same design that is just not intended for them, I had to gift them all new clothes !! Thanks for the hat tip, I was starting to feel despaired.

Sorry for the confusion, but I meant they shared it on New Leaf. I don't think they do that in NH! Audie shouldn't be able to corrupt others lol

Of course you can't remove the design once you put it up in the shop, but what you can do is replace it with a "hat" design and they won't be able to wear it anymore.

Aaaand they are now starting to wear the hats I had put on display to prevent them from wearing the custom clothes...
And even though I reset their clothing with Marie and deleted the clothing pattern from the shop, some of them still find a way to wear it. HOW ? Will this never end ?

tbh even when you gift them new clothes, they'd keep changing. but yes, on the bright side it's much easier to gift now. LMAO remember the struggle in new leaf when you have to carry those items in your inventory and nudging near the villager hoping they'd ping to ask for it? i can'r
