Anyone else?
I'm really tired of typing every sentence on that balloon which only supports 25~30 characters each. Why couldn't Nintendo implement a microphone function? The 3DS has one; with the megaphone you can shout villagers' names, so why can't we talk to each other through the mic? Other games such as Pokemon X/Y has a microphone function and I was really baffled when I heard my friend talking through the game's interface. This single player game has a mic function whereas the game which puts more emphasis on communication doesn't.
As I was watching the press conference at GDC 2014 for the development of Animal Crossing: New Leaf on GDC's own website, the developers mentioned that the core of any Animal Crossing game is a communication tool to the environment and people. So why does this communication tool doesn't have the necessary microphone function to it?
I must say that, throughout the years, they did a good job on communication whatsoever, having feedback from their fans and realising them onto the new AC games. Implementing a chat system to chat with people that aren't in your town, having an island where you can meet strangers from all over the world and the Streetpass function where you can see other people's houses were great additions to Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
The technology is there! Pls Nintendo!
edit: Also, the chat we got isn't flawless. There is no history log of the chat, so you got to keep your eyes on the screen if you want to read his chat or you need to talk through the Best Friend Chat (which makes chatting more annoying). Also, when you enter or leave a building, there is a chance the other person talks, but you cannot read the sentence, because your screen is black, which bugs me as well..
