Good evening, everyone! We have an egg hunt announcement! An additional clue for egg #21 will be posted Monday at 6 PM EDT if it hasn't been found by then. The egg hunt will also be extended until Tuesday morning at 10 AM EDT.

I think it would be nice as something you could use only on the best friend function thing. Even if it was something you could choose to turn on or off with everyone on the game, I could see people getting harassed on why they wont turn it on. Like on CT, people just constantly saying "turn on your mic, turn on your mic!!!!" or people being offended during trades or whatnot that you don't want to speak to them.
I don't mind typing out things, but it'd be much easier if they had an option for a chat box system. Or even if you can save certain phrases for future chats and whatnot. It'd be a lot easier to communicate people who come around just for trading purposes (items, villagers, cataloging) or people who open up their gates to people for specific reasons.
I do like the idea of a mic function for best friends since that'd be kind of nice. In the past when I've played Animal Crossing with someone, it's always been a friend and we'd use either phone calls, Mumble, or Skype to communicate.

I would prefer the typing over voice.
I just wish they would fix the chat.

And what I REALLY hate is if some one say... enters the town right before you hit "send" it will erase everything you just spent time writing and you have to write it all over again instead of it still being there and just having to hit send after they arrive. ?.?

i type so frickin slow and
its so annoying how i have to cut up my sentences due to not fitting in the bubble
i honestly see no downside to mic chat so i dont see why they didnt add it
they couldve made it like an optional feature

I think it would be a nice feature to have for people on your best friends list! c= Especially since somebody on your best friends list would be more understanding if you didn't want to use the feature! c=
