I think getting unlimited free remodels is a lame reward, since it took me so long to make the bells to pay if off.
What reward do you want for paying off your entire home loan?

I remember getting that statue as a kid and feeling truly accomplished haha. Maybe one day it could become unlocked as a Nook Mile item after you pay off your loans?

I wish paying off loans unlocked exclusive options for the home remodel. The options that exist are fairly bland imo, especially compared to the ones in NL.

More customization options tbh. Like if we could unlock all the rest of the exterior options villagers have (log cabin siding, etc) and also if they reintroduced different styles of house from NL, some of the mailboxes too... and if all that could be free when we paid off the last loan. I'd also say the ability to change the size/shape of our rooms, though I also wonder what new things they could offer?

Side note, it would be really funny if they made a throwback type item that was the gold statue of a GC villager, maybe as like a special event item/DLC

like others, i’d love for more exterior options and maybe even the option to resize our rooms. free exterior changes is nice but as someone who’s happy with my current exterior, it’d be kind of useless to me and so i won’t be paying off the final loan unless some other benefit is added that’d make it worth it ;v;

I know what you mean. I felt like I did something really important. Me and my friends used to have a race to see who got the statue first. I got the golden one, and my friend got the silver one. My nephew was stuck with the jade one. The Nook Miles statue is a cool idea. I just wish I could place it in the plaza. It would also be cool if you could change the architecture of your house like in ACNL. I would love to live in a castle, but I really want that golden statue more.
