Ummmm, this may or may not be the best place to ask this but....
I need help finding work, i've already tried a few stores and no one appears to be hiring and the few stores that are hiring pay minimum wage. My options seem to be either flip burgers or work at Wal-mart which is something I refuse to do.
So anyone have any tips for a work noob like me?
It's not that I haven't had a job its just that all the jobs i've had prior have been givin to me.

I'm an umpire for the local base ball league, I get payed pretty well(about 12.50 an hour) because when you umpire you have to make many tough decisions, and the fans aren't always nice. I started umpiring when i was 13.
If you live near a mall go there and see if they need help in any of the clothing stores or food places ... that's all I can think of. Sadly, it is getting harder and harder to find a job today because of the economy :gyroidconfused:bananaoracle said:

If you're in your teenager years, just volunteer somewhere. That way when you graduate College you get a good job due to the volunteering.
I don't have a job, I'm 12. I just live off my weekly allowance ($12 a week. Soon to be $13 a week) which has raised the total amount of money in my bank account (My personal bank account - For spending) to over $2,000. xD

get a job as a bus boy in a really nice restaurant, if you're good you can move up to waiting tables. in the right places you can make 1,000 a week being a server or bartender. Bussing pays less but it helps you learn how to work in a restaurant.bananaoracle said:

Same, the only real times I got money was either for doing work around the house or every once in a while whenever I went out.Bulerias said:

It just feels weird spending the money they worked for while I did nothing. I only get money when I really need it and I will pay them back or for lunch in school. I mean I get if you do chores for money because you are actually working for the money, but if they just give any when you want that would feel strange to me.
