Yeah Piggy banks are just black holes for your bells. I wish there was a way to hit it with a hammer and get it all back or something. That's something I'd really like to be possible. But yeah when I first got the game I did this like a ton of times because I wondered if maybe there was a cut-off and then it would break or something. But no, it will let you put TONS of coins in there and nothing will happen with them, it's horrible. =[

I've done this before as well, although I don't really keep the stuff that I get from the post office for free. I usually sell it, because I don't plan on putting it in my house. I believe it's not worth that many HHA points anyway so I just get rid of them. Like the above poster said, if you put bells in the piggy bank (as in 1 bell) it won't go to your ABD it'll just dissapear. Congrats on finding this out though!

Oh wow, I never noticed that before. I've pressed the piggy bank several times just for the noise it makes but never realised that it was actually withdrawing bells from my wallet!
I bet thwy are connected to Reeses bank account....she must be a multi millionaire the amount of bells she's given me by now
