I DESPISE MY EYES! Reset?

This might sound totally ridiculous to you, but I really don't like my eyes on my mayor. I wish I would have realized before that I can't change them. First...what do you think? it's these:

second, would you reset over this? So far, i've expanded my home 3 times, made paths, and unlocked TNT, shampoodles, kicks, the dream suite, did some public works projects...ahh I would hate to restart all that. but I feel like i'll forever be upset that my mayor has....horrible eyes. hahah.

I've made a new char but i just find it annoying that i don't have mayor abilities and i can't use my original name.

what would you do? eyes..are they bad? I feel like they just look...*****y.

i would reset. i did not know this at first either. my first save had pretty good eyes. but i really like my second ones more.
i think it matters a lot , seeing as it is pretty much you.

If you are really unhappy with the look I would reset...you don't want to be annoyed every time you look at your mayor! If you can let it go then it might be better to keep your town if it means a lot to you though.

The rule in book is if you dont like something and its bothering you enough to notice, then go ahead and reset. The whole point of acnl is to make things the way you like it. I play the game so that I can create a perfect town for myself. Especially in this case since you are not please with the eyes your mayor has. You will have to play as that character often so if you dont like it, change it. I tried doing sunglasses the first time around but I wanted my character's eyes to be shown during the none summer seasons.

I spent nearly 3 months with eyes I despised.

I despised my eyes. And I reset. And when I think about keeping those eyes for those 3 months I shudder. They were so bad.

but if some of those things don't really match your mayor, i would probably reset as well.

lol when i first made my town i reset the moment i saw my mayor because it was uglyyyyy. i followed a guide later

i think that if the only reason to why you want to reset is that you've gotten shops and stuff go for it. it won't take that long to get it all again and having your mayor be uglyyy isn't nice

if u dont wanna reset u could make the eyes black and tan your mayor, imo that looks pretty good with those eyes

Don't cover your eyes because it'll still drive you crazy. You'll know what's under those glasses. LOL. If you really hate how you look, you should start over. I'd suggest using a guide to help you get the eyes you want.

I too, felt that was when I chose my Mayor. However, after a while, I fell i n love with her and wouldn't change her for anything. And personally, I think your Mayor is adorable. I thijnk the bottom lashes are cute. If you are unhappy though, I say reset if it will make you feel better

No way! I love those eyes D: I didn't get them when I started (I didn't know how to choose your eyes when I started) But now they're my favorite.

If it were me, I would keep them :3

Nah, don't reset. I find each of the eyes charming in their own ways. If you have an undesired set of eyes, it strikes me as a uniqueness.

I think all the AC eye styles are cute in their own way. But if it really bothers you that much, I'd say go for the reset.

I hate mine too! But it was too late when I found out that I could have chosen them with my answers, so now I just use sunglasses all the time

Normally, I would suggest keeping your town and to not let the little things bother you, but if her face really bugs you, I think you should reset. It won't take too long to get back to where you were. You'll enjoy the game more if you like how your character looks.

I had those eyes on my first play through, and I was about to your point in the game when I opted for a reset. I'm no worse for the wear! I got a handful of really handsome villagers on my reset as well, so that is cool. Plus you get to see more maps... overall resetting can be fun.

Reset. Use a guide. You won't regret it. If something bugs you, and you don't reset, eventually you'll find more things that bug you. More reasons to reset. If you don't reset, then you'll be stuck with things you dislike. And the point of the game is to have fun c:

i found myself with many reasons to want to reset my main town (i also hated my eyes but i was able to fix it) but the map is just downright awful and there's no way to fix it haha. but i have all of my dreamies, i cycled 16 villagers just to get 2 of them back after losing them, 3 fully upgraded homes that are all decorated, and i could just..never ever reset, despite my main towns many flaws. so i decided to just get a second copy, this made me much happier in the long run! you can get copies of acnl for much cheaper than retail price on ebay or mercari ^^ it's definitely worth it imo! you don't have to deal with the heartbreak of deleting a town you're close with and you get to start a whole new one

When I got my first town, I didn't know you could change the eye color, and I don't like my main town characters eyes. I've never reset though because I have a lot of stuff, dreamies, a lot of badges and paths done and stuff. I don't think I could reset my town, but that's just my opinion. Sunglasses sometimes help
