I caught a scallop..

This isn’t true, my sister had to catch around 10-15 before she finally got pascal to show up. For me I had him on the first scallop. I think it just differs.

He's right about him showing up once a day. After I gave my first scallop, he never showed up since then. I do agree about his appearance rate being different though which is what you're pointing out.

My concern now is I don't want to overfish a lot of scallops. He may possibly only allow one trade at a time. (Let's hope that's not the case tomorrow.) He did mention about trading those for pearls if my memory serves me right.

I see. Thanks for the correction. It sucks if he had to show up late on some occasion. But since he showed up late, do you know if he buys the other scallops already on your inventory?

I’ve been TTing and yes, Pascal only accepts 1 scallop a day. He showed up on my 2nd scallop on day 1 for some reason, then every day after he showed up on the 1st scallop.

First 4 days I got 3 DIYs + mermaid princess dress, then 6 days straight after I got pearls everyday. Not sure what the algorithm is.

I think it’s normal. They increased his rarity I guess. I caught the first one and he didn’t show up. I caught a second and he showed up then. I think it’s random. Makes it harder to get the whole furniture series like this though.

Well, it looks like Pascal can only offer you one exchange per day. So farming all those extra scallops aren't worth your time.

oooh thanks. and GOOD. i've been swimming & swimming and i never find pearls. maybe i'll get them easier this way.

He can show up a second time as long as you didn't give a scallop to him the first time! (I saved my first for the museum, so that's how I know.)

Thank goodness, I did that and I was worried he was not going to come back

It's definitely random. He did not trigger for me on my first Scallop yesterday, but he did today when I found one. You can only get one recipe a day from him. Rest are for selling, I suppose! (And donation to museum!)

I got Pascal with my first scallop last night around 8 or 9pm central US time, then today I caught 3 and no Pascal

I saw him on the second one. If you have multiple when you see him will he give more than one thing? or is there no reason to store up scallops and bring them with you when you swim?

So sounds like each day its one and done, thats kind of tedious. Sure hope he doesn't start giving out doubles till you get them all, that would be really frustrating
