So Flora decided to move right in the middle of my path and destroyed a few of my hydrangea bushes ;-;

I've been trying to TT to get them to try and ping me, but so far it's my Dreamies that want out...

The method I'm using is the 2 days forward and back method. It doesn't always work, and no one would want to leave. I go to my 3DS Clock Settings to go one year ahead, go back to my game and create a New Save File. After Rover's drabble, I check the map that Porter hands me, and if there are no houses gone, then no one moved. If someone' spouse is gone, then I change the date back, and load up my game then go in their faces to make them tell me.

I just got Sprinkle to move out as I'm typing, but Flora's my 10th villager and I hear it's harder to move them out :/
Any good tips that work 100%?

I dont know about 100%, but being their bff works well because once the friendship level is high, they ping more often. Also, is she the last move in? If yes, its harder to get them to move. Some people say impossible, but i dont think so, just extremely difficult.

On a day when you convince an unwanted mover to stay, tt ahead 6 days, load game and save, then tt backwards 6 days. You are guaranteed a ping for a mover and by repeating this process you'll eventually get you who want to leave

This never fails me, as long as you go ahead only 6 days since the last ping you'll never get a surprise in boxes

Don't do the 2 forward 2 back thing. It's better to use the safety net/day-by-day method. IIRC 2 fw 2 back doesn't actually work that well.

The most trusted method I used is to "bully" them. If you hit a villager with your net three times in a row they will get mad and you and refuse to talk for a few minutes. Also,push them in pitfalls. In a few days that villager will move out! YES!

Really? I'll have to try that then!
Would events in the week have any affect?

I thought 'bullying'/'beating' them would make them do the complete opposite :v
The game would recognise that you are abusing them and would make them stay to become 'better friends'.

This method also worked perfectly for me (as mayofgotham also confirmed above).

And I think befriending a villager works better than ignoring/bullying (being mean) to them in my personal experience... if you are not close enough, they often change their mind to stay even if you tell them to leave cuz he/she wants to get to know you better .

That's what I use, going just forward I don't really notice the difference. I guess it's just how you time travel.

I guess that's why Cookie won't ping me. Which is weird because the villager I lost before her was my last move in so I don't see why Cookie won't help me out.

my favorite for the truly stubborn is make a new save file, if you dont have 4 already. talk to everybody once at least, then talk to everyone but the target villager, completely and utterly ignore them (no abusing with net, pushing into pitfalls, sending them garbage,etc). i act like they are not there for about a week (sometimes takes longer) and they will leave. you eliminate the friending quest and game sees that as they aren't needed..so it cycles em out.
