I know it happens randomly but isn't there a way to get them to suggest more PWPs.At this rate,it's gonna take a long time to make my town the way I want it.I tried the "diving trick",but it doesn't always work. ; _ ;

The diving trick always works, it's just a matter of being patient. Some days you might get lucky and get a PWP after just a few dives, other times you might need to dive for hours to get it.

I don't know of any other tricks except for that a villager will supposedly always suggest a PWP the day before it moves out (havent had the chance to test this myself.) But obviously you can't do this often since villagers don't move every day.

Oh haha, I was about to suggest the diving trick.

One of the things you need to do with the diving trick though is you need to have NOTHING in your pockets, and very few bells on you. That way, the pings won't be "let's trade items/i wanna buy your stuff/hey buy my stuff".

or if you do have bells you can fill up your pockets with tools/seashells/flowers since villagers wont ask for them

Actually, you should fill your pockets full with things villagers can't buy such as sea shells or flowers. But you are right with no money thing. ;)

I always fill my pockets with flowers/tools/seashells (things they won't buy) or just money bags (bunch of 1k bags) so there's no space in my pocket.

Anyways, I also suggest trapping villagers before you try the diving trick if there's a specific PWP you wanna unlock first. For example, I wanna unlock Fairy Tale Bridge and it can be suggested by Peppy villagers. So I would trap my peppy villager -- dig holes around them or around buildings/trees/rivers and push them in there so they can't escape & move around .__. (sounds mean... I know xD I always feel bad when I trap them) After you go for the swim, go to the spot where you trap them and hopefully they'll ping you about PWP so you have a higher chance of unlocking certain PWPs... hope it all makes sense >.<

But yeah some days you just have to be really patient... like yesterday I tried diving trick but didn't get PWP request .__. I even trapped my dear Felicity but didn't work xD haha it was just bad luck day I guess... Good luck to you!

I do the same though something curious happened to me today (first time it happens after years of using the trick) I went back to the land looking for villagers and somehow 4 of them had freed themselves. Still don't know why it happened. I did invite someone over to drop Katie off so maybe that had to do with it?

Basically some of the holes were filled up so they were able to leave. but I know it wasn't that person because they didn't venture into my town :0 it was very odd

when you refresh the screen holes close themselves! if you were to go in a villagers' house, or go across the tracks to main street, or go in the train station, the land'll refresh. like you know how, when you're looking for scorpions or tarantulas or other rare things, you have to let things respawn so you go inside a building? same basic principle.
