How to Get Furniture from a Villager's House?

I really want to nab the sloppy furniture from Benjamin's house, are there any fast ways?
I know to give them furniture and to try to be invited over, but I'm curious if there are any other things to do.

When you are in their house after they invite you over, talk to them until they ask if you want to buy something.

^ You can also gift them stuff that will replace what they had and they'll either give it to you or put it in retail.

I'm pretty sure villagers each have a personal furniture void. If you leave Re-tail slots open, they tend to dump their house in there fast. The most secure way is visit -> ask of course haha.

All the aforementioned above are ways you can get furniture from the villagers. The easiest way (imo) is when they invite you to come over.

However, there will be furniture that you will not be able to obtain as they are only specially gifted to the villager themselves. They will not ever sell you a house item that specially theirs that they came with. Only items that they receive from other characters in previous towns they have visited, as well as yours, are the only furniture you can get from them.

When Benjamin first moved into my town he started asking me to replace his sloppy furniture one by one o.o; It was so easy to obtain it for some reason. When Marshal lived in my town I didn't get a single piece of furniture from him. Anyways, once he's back in his house, give him the new furniture and he should give you the sloppy furniture. I made the mistake of giving him the furniture outside and he just gave me a present, but giving it to him inside his house ensures he'll give you the sloppy furniture.
