how to cycle out villagers in your main town?

around half of my villagers are from other people's void pools .-.
since i'm very cautious when it comes to this kind of stuff, i wanted to know how to cycle out these villagers with a minimal risk of losing my dreamies.

Once I tell a villager to not leave, I go 5 days forward, and then 5 days back and I always get a ping
