How to climb up cliffs?

Hello~

Might be a weird question but I cant seem to climb over the elevated parts of my island, is this something to unlock?

You have to build the ladder in the green tent! Then whenever you want to climb up, take the ladder out of your pockets and you will be able to climb up the cliffs.

It's not available from the beginning but I got mine today so it doesn't take too long to unlock!
