How often do you burn out?

I have the same problem. Sometimes i'll make a new game start it up and then leave it after i'm done playing, and not return for weeks on end. Until weeks later when I come back and delete it.

I've done that on numerous occasions, it happens don't sweat it :P

I've had my current town since the 12th of November and already I feel burned out on it, I unlocked the island and gave so much to the museum but I just feel bored with it already.

I burn out easily. I got super into New Leaf back in October & played for a month, and now I haven't even turned my 3DS on for about 3 weeks. I wish I had more time to play, but life is so busy.

I would say it took about 5 months for the game to wear off me. I stopped playing regularly in December 2013/January 2014. I play every now and then but it doesn't last for more than a couple of hours or days.

The longest I've gone without playing is about 9 months.

I will usually play for a few weeks or even a month, but after that I stop and take a long break. A lot of this I think has to do with my daily headaches/migraines. When I have a headache there is nothing I feel like doing.

When I first got the game (Christmas 2013) it was basically every day from about December to March. I took a break for pretty much all of 2014 and 2015, checking on my town once in a while and eventually not caring. Then the other day I decided I needed a restart and I've been playing daily for a few days. I'm hoping this continues, because I love ACNL and I love it when I feel passionate about a game.

It varies. I once didn't play for the whole of April and since then I go back and forth with being burnt out and being addictied

I have only been playing New Leaf for a couple of months, but I am currently experiencing burnout and I believe it is because I time traveled so much. The last time I played a few days ago, I time traveled so many times to get a villager out and also got too involved with placing paths and planting bushes.

The next time I play is supposed to be the last Bug Off in September. I find myself dreading it because it is an event. I have lots of bugs saved up, but I am just not in the mood to go through it. on the other hand, I really want the bug furniture. So I’ve been putting it off.

Also, villagers planting flowers everywhere has me stressed out. 🙃

I have been playing New Leaf for 3 years now and can honestly say that I've never gotten burnt out on it. I have two towns now and I play each one for 30-45 mins daily. So I'm only playing a maximum of 1.5 hours a day, just checking in on villagers and doing daily stuff.

If I finish my dailies and have extra time, I might landscape or decorate or work on badges. But I don't pressure myself to do those things. I only do them when I feel like it, for as long as I feel like it.

I don't stress about doing every event. If I don't want to participate, then I don't. I also don't worry about getting every event item the first time I play through that event. There will always be time to get the rest later.

I'm just really chill and relaxed with how I play, not pouring too many hours into the game at a time or trying to complete everything at once. So I think that's why I've never experienced burn out.

I burned out a lot in new leaf. I think having to grind to get villagers to suggest projects I want, just made my whole experience drag. So there’s been time I’ve had the game running, whilst I was doing something. To check back and hope that someone would blink and suggest a project. If they’re wouldn’t, rinse and repeat. After a while it would drain you down and I just couldn’t be bothered continuing to do it.

I’ve only recently got back into NL (with NH running too), since I’m holding some neighbours for my friends (Pietro & Julian so far) and we’re actively talking and playing together. So having friends does make the experience a little better and improves my burn out for sure.

I wouldn’t classify my lack of playtime to burn out, rather, I would say more pressing obligations has limited my game time.

I have 5 towns currently but used to own 6. I would check each town once a week if l'm not working on them. But when l start working on something in one of the towns, l would be on the game mostly the whole day and mostly every day a week.

I basically burn out all the time now. Both of my towns are a mess and I'm just too lazy to fix it. Occasionally, I go back, but only because I miss Club Tortimer or something.

I probably burn out every two-three months at the latest? Honestly I have no idea but it happens periodically, especially since I am more of a casual gamer I could never play any one game constantly. If I restart then sometimes that will stop me playing for a really long time since I have done it so many times so I try my best to refrain from doing so, this is actually why I got a second copy of the game so that I would have one “complete” copy that is rash to pick up and play and another that I can develop and try again to accomplish a different sort of town with different villagers

Honestly, my burn-out typically depends on the friends that play and how often I lose inspiration. I stopped playing in August and September because I lost inspiration but the inspiration is coming back bit by bit and its a nice time away from other games right now.

ive been playing since march this year and ive had 3 towns already,, ive noticed i get burned out after exactly 3 months each time o:

i burnt out after i first posted my dream address, but recently came back for the october update!! altho ive been logging in on and off to get all the bugs and fish i missed

I tend to get burnt out really quickly. I'll go a week or 2 playing non-stop then I'll go a few weeks without playing. Recently I haven't played in a few months though; I think I'm really losing interest in the game D:
